Maybe i am just dumb and cant think so far as most financial experts here do but whats so bad on the token in wow ? I mean Someone just buys it and sell it for others. Other ones who are good in making money buy this and get cash shop items / playtime i cant see the problem here. I would say it is a problem if this would be like the only way to get stuff ingame like some gear or something but it isnt. Like hell i started WoW in Dragonflight because 6.X just bored the hell out of me thanks too that i can speak into this topic. Even as a noob who is like playing 1 week a month activly i am able to get enough gold for 1 token if i want BUT besides of that i cant do shit with the money. Yes i could get some gear or i just sit down and level my jobs in 5 hours or smth and craft it myself. The System is so dumb a 3rd grader can use it to craft items. Plus they have so many catch up mechanics and dungeon gear which is BiS sometimes so nothing a wow token can give you.
So please explain me the bad side of it. I am not defending it i just want to understand. Personally i think every form of a shop in a monthly sub game is criminal but thats just my point of view.
So after makeing my point as a casual wow player i can just say the token is not as bad as you think. I even know more people with a fantasia addiction ( i was one of them ) then people buying wow token. ( WHICH NOT MEAN ITS NOT HAPPENING )
For me as a casual it gives me the opportunity to buy cash stuff with ingame currency which makes it available for me with playing the game something 14 cant offer. Even worse every item you buy beside of mounts and minions are for one charcter. Even the level skip is compared just even with wow. In 14 you get one for 20$ in wow you get a class for 60$ but this class have 3 diffrent specs so basicly splitted in 3 diffrent jobs. Example Paladin Skip will give you A DPS Pala / Tank Pala and a Heal Pala.
So maybe i am a dumb idiot but i dont understand the token hate. On the other hand i think i people dont have the time but the money let them be ( in both games )
