I'm sure a lot of other players are losing trust in our pilots, too.
Depends on the plane. A small plane like a cessna 172 can easily recover from a spin with little altitude lost. Instructor students at our local academy routinely enter spins from power-off stalls and then are tasked with recovering from the spin (spin training for instructors is required by the FAA). A large passenger jet on the hand can have a very difficult time recovering from a spin because of their aerodynamics, the tendency to lose altitude a lot quicker, and instrument meteorological conditions causing the pilot to be disoriented.

The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.

Since we're having fun with airplane crashing analogies, I think SE is like a 737 with a bad air speed sensor. They're interpreting the data (feedback) they get wrong which caused them to pull up, lose airspeed, and stall (ShB and EW).

I imagine that it's because a lot of the feedback is going through multiple filters. Everything from the US has to be translated, well, we know who is in charge of translation and localization, and how much she'll push back on feedback she disagrees with. But everything also has to also go through the suits and bean counters. Having worked in games myself for nearly a decade, one thing I can say with certainty is the people who make decisions based solely on "X input = Y output" do not care about the longevity of the product, just making next quarter goals.

Yep true, and malfunctioning equipment should be repaired to function normally or be outright replaced.

It feels like SE/CBU3 is taking the EA way of doing some of their games. Take all the profit from it, & dump it into other things/hoarding it, instead of reinvesting.

6 years & 14,800+ hours of playtime, & I must say goodbye. I cannot support the current direction of SE/CBU3 anymore.

SE I believe sees the people who started the game in the last 3-4 years as their primary consumer base that they wish to please. By the time they reach Dawntrail, they're at the end of their shelf life. The quality of content doesn't really matter to them, what matters is the quantity, and there is plenty of it from the many expansions that have been introduced. Jobs get dumbed down to appease these players, and no matter how unpopular any of their changes are, to any piece of content, they really do not care what anyone has to say. Yoshi P and CBU 3 appear to believe once again in their arrogance that they can do no wrong, and any mistakes can be simply explained away and forgiven by the community. Unfortunately the good will is starting to dry up.

I have no faith that any improvements to the game are forthcoming. Certainly not in 7.0, and the warning signs are there that 8.0 will be no different. Barring a mass exodus of player loss (Which I don't believe the conditions are there for it to happen. The casual players are satisfied, and any losses can be made up with Mogstation items, or idiotic $88usd Mystery box fridge magnets.) Nothing is likely to change.

I think CBU3 have gotten too used to being the golden child now and people just love everything they do. That they have forgotten the lessons of the past mainly 1.0 and how humble they used to be. Now they do come of as arrogant and well not listening to their players and what needs we might have just telling us what they want. It can be quite easy for the mistakes of 1.0 to show their heads again I just pray for all the discourse they course correct but they way they are right now I am not so sure that will happen

Adding to this, in this week's Mr. Happys Q&A he gave an interesting response when asked what the worst expansion for content was and he said it was Endwalker and not Dawntrail. That got me thinking that we do have more content coming, but people do want the content to come out sooner. Nothing wrong with that expectation and hope, but Im strongly against it as a person in a creative position for this expansion.

In my work experience you don't simply shift priorities to something and get something good out of it without sacrifice ie. bugs and a burnt-out dev team (which relate well to as I've had to be the fireman in multiple reshuffled major projects and I'm really tired physically and mentally). One of YoshiP's priorities has been the welfare of his staff, so getting people burnt out is a no go to maybe have a rushed development of say the exploration zone is a no go. I would imagine a lot of the devs have a daily schedule of half-day recoding the game (which isn't easy at all because systems have dependencies and those dependencies have their own) and half-day developing new systems/content already. Hopefully once the content is out it will be the wait.
