[Graphic Update Feedback] Female Roegadyn Eyes

I almost want to say the coloured pupils had a 'softer' look to them. (...) Either way, it's a pretty drastic change to the visuals, especially for those who had lighter eye colours. I understand it may have been due to technical constraints initially which is fair enough... but why change it now, when people are used to how it used to be? Honestly this whole graphical update feels like it was created by someone who had their own headcanons about how the races should look, rather than someone just trying to create a higher fidelity version of the old models and textures...

It wouldn't even be that difficult to change, either. Just add a bit of eye colour choice influence to the pupils. It still exists on some races and some specific faces. But apparently it wasn't to the new artist's "spec"... But it very much was mine.

And we know the coloured pupils work in current "spec" for their vision. Imagine my surprise (and anger at the time) when I saw the partner NPC for the healer role quests, a highlander, has these for her eyes:


(This cap was taken during 7.0 base, I haven't confirmed if f!highlander face 4 has kept these eyes in 7.1, but I know m!roe face 2 still have theirs, and there is a f!elezen face that had them as of 7.0 as well but unsure which one.)

The softer look is beautiful and I hope we'll get it back on femroe. I plan on supplying further detailed feedback again JP side, I've refused to back down even when it felt like there was zero hope. Still in shock we even were adjusted in 7.1 (and grateful).

I actaully only just got around to finishing those quests today and can confirm, still there! Her eyes appear to be around the same shade as my poor alt's eyes are but I haven't really touched her since my motivation to play has been lacking, so I haven't seen how jarring that is yet...

With your permission I might use your diagram of the normal maps (we will get our true brows back, the base sculpting is there we just need the faux 3D data via the map now) you posted in the main graphics thread if that's OK? Would be fantastic to go alongside anything else I do diagram wise.
