What irritated me was in the FFXI raid at one point jaja goes "Wuk Lamat chose well" or something like that in one of the few voiced lines and I almost screamed at my screen. Now every time I run a raid that brings me so much nostalgic joy I still can't get away from that stupid cat. I don't want Tural to have peace at this point. I want to personally fly in as many warlords as possible to throw the entire continant into a perpetual state of war, grab my fiddle and play a lively tune as it all burns.

Wtf do they insist on pushing her at us from all directions? That one line needs to be deleted from the raid and all will be good with it.

I ignored Woke Laminate as much as i could, i was more shocked of how they pushed her Brother into a super cheesy and absolutely unbelievable story arc. You know these things 5 minutes Son... FIVE minutes.

Not gonna lie I flinched as well at her sudden reappearance.
Wuk wasn't the worst part of the MSQ patch though despite her continuous nature to interject and contribute nothing of value to cutscenes with her dialogue. However nothing could prepare me for how much I disliked the writing of this patch and how shallow and completely detached and out of touch it came off as. There was an interesting setup at the very end of the patch, but everything else was abysmal despite the potential of the setting of the dungeon.

I don't have the nostalgia for 11 have never played it myself but the fights were fun the line was unnecessary and where I was hoping for some respite from any mention or sight of WL. Ugh.

I didn't really like her part i mute the sound skip the cute scenes even jar jar bink offer more to star wars the wak lamat. the truth i glad they brought Sphene look like she human i felt bad for her she never really had true childhood nor adulthood Sphene that is she thrust into her place problem never really rule any for more was puppet ruler. i admit that i think be interest to unified that nation if Sphene is give leadership role because i won't be supprise if they face civil war Sphene return will only way end that. i won't be suprise if they killed Wuk lamat to spark that if they can it maybe a good path forward. killed Wuk lamat by a one leadership of Alexander to spark a conflict with the Vows and they nation.

that would awesome story arc it get player rengage with the game it also make Wuk Lamat more favorable because she want the happeniss of her nation and to unit the two cities yet for her trouble she killed off\

the vows and they nation support the reborn Sphene and move her forward into replace Wuk Lamat and leader and she does out honor to Wuk Lamat Sphene i think i like better she prossiblity have some further devolopment

It’s not even only wuk that makes me wanna rip my eyes out doing the story. Like bad as hell writing. No character development in any meaningful way. And the worst part completely killing the ending part of the base dawn trail story by bringing sphene back and make here a villain/mind controlled or just a more powerful evil computer program (she is just emet but with zero interesting writing and being shoved in at the 70 % of the story mark) Zooral ja didn’t even get a crumb of character development (still grumpy bad son and bad father) and just made a child as a reward for this women serving him…… like of even more character information for his mother.

Enough is enough. They just lost a bunch of money over the stupidity of their design choices. Even overlorddvd covered it now. Just unsubbed I am done being a prisoner to this game and its housing system. When they enter bankruptcy maybe elon musk can buy them.

Which one of us should be the ones to break the news that the game is doing very well and the forums aren't representative of anything?

I do...if you think seeing a character popping up in a video game is it, I would ask the same question right back...

The game is not doing very well. It is having the usual post
expansion decline. It is a bigger decline than EW had, but they threw off how much by launching a free login campaign recently. And just like with EW, the game is going to see declining revenue quarter after quarter soon. Probably more than EW, by a lot, based on all the damage they did with MSQ and now setting many jobs on fire.

And that's considering they lost players before DT even started.

Also forums are representative of the player population. They absolutely 100% are. The only thing defenders are right about is that the solution is to unsub. People need to mass unsub. If you do not like the story, combat, jobs, all 3, or something else...the devs only wish you'd stay on the forum and pay to scream in the void. If you've been waiting long enough for change and it hasn't happened, simply leave. And yes I am unsubbed.

In response to us asking why we were babysitting an overgrown child that isn't written to be believable, they somehow managed to make every character introduced in Dawntrail seem stupid and bizarre. Which is about the only thing remarkable about this bite-sized retread. The first act was bland to the point of being forgettable and the premise is headscratching, the second act is textbook goofy filler, and the third act is just an eyeroll. Not exactly instilling any confidence in future patches.

At least the dungeon's crazy, I guess.
