You don't need hours. You need like one friend and a bit of time to power level to 50, or a little longer to 70, then to run you through a couple duties to get a couple spells.thank you all for the replies and suggestions but to my main point i'm just asking the devs if they could add them to the other hunt clan vendors as well ^^ i don't think thats an unreasonable demand to make.
and i am aware they are trying to reduce the amount of gil players have saved up but as in my original post i'm not referring to players that are able to sink hours into the game but rather players who can't fully commit to things like hunt trains, all of blue mage content (its fun stuff don't get me wrong but trying to find parties for it can be difficult at times.) and be able to max out every crafter to make big bucks etc.
Now if you don't have one friend, then it could take hours upon hours, yeah.
but thats the thing though, in order to receive full credit for the bluemage log rewards you need to have a full party of bluemages which not alot of people are interested in an its mainly due to the job being locked out of doing regular duties cause of the perceived notion they can be this mega solo master but i've yet to see people showcase that is the case why is that? plus the devs themselves haven't updated its kit in a very long time some of their abilities are still stuck at the numbers they were at since bluemage's inception which makes them unviable to use in newly added duties to the log toppled with the fact the tank stance which SHOULD be the thing that makes them almost near invincible completely nerfs their damage output making their "blue content" take even longer to do or complete when "solo" which is a negative to my main point of players who just don't have that kind of time to spare or commit too.
... ... ...I'm talking about the weekly challenges in the Masked Carnival. Completely solo, no team needed. Get all 3 done and that's 110 Aetheryte tickets a week. It's like, 15 minutes work, at worst.but thats the thing though, in order to receive full credit for the bluemage log rewards you need to have a full party of bluemages which not alot of people are interested in an its mainly due to the job being locked out of doing regular duties cause of the perceived notion they can be this mega solo master but i've yet to see people showcase that is the case why is that? plus the devs themselves haven't updated its kit in a very long time some of their abilities are still stuck at the numbers they were at since bluemage's inception which makes them unviable to use in newly added duties to the log toppled with the fact the tank stance which SHOULD be the thing that makes them almost near invincible completely nerfs their damage output making their "blue content" take even longer to do or complete when "solo" which is a negative to my main point of players who just don't have that kind of time to spare or commit too.
Healer mimic(healing potency +20%, enhancements on most heals) + Mighty Guard(40% damage reduction) + Basic Instinct(no damage penalty to guard, 30% run speed boost, healing and damage +100%) = You can solo many group things. With that set of buffs gobshield lasts a few hits and pom cure becomes a stupidly powerful heal. And you still have diamondback for when an immune would be called for, you can still vibe check(rams voice + ultravibration to insta-kill packs every couple mins), and you can still set up for big final stings if you like.
But yeah, like RaideDuku said - the people mentioning BLU for aetheryte tickets are mostly referring to the weekly carnivale bonuses. Its 3 stages, two of them with extra requirements, and a boatload of poetics gil and allied seals for completion.
There is no need to sink hours or to join hunt trains.thank you all for the replies and suggestions but to my main point i'm just asking the devs if they could add them to the other hunt clan vendors as well ^^ i don't think thats an unreasonable demand to make.

It takes about 10 minutes per week to kill the weekly B rank in HW and SB: that alone is 40 tickets. You can add the ARR B rank too for another 20 tickets and it’s accessible solo at level 50.
Also, there is another currency that allows one to teleport directly to their GC if they are low on hunt tickets: the GC aetheryte ticket which is sold by the GC vendor. Turn in dungeon loot, buy tickets. It’s not for everywhere but practical to go to a main city.
For blue mage: stick to the low level challenges for minimal effort. No team or anything fancy needed. This week killing challenge 2 with 6 elemental spells but less than 10 different spells got me 300 seals. There was no fancy spell needed and all were easily acquirable solo.

i always viewed healer mimic as high risk cause it consumes just as much mp as dps, tho correct me if i am wrong but mighty guard is a dps loss no?`like i know its damage mitigation but it has the added effect of fixing how much dps you inflictHealer mimic(healing potency +20%, enhancements on most heals) + Mighty Guard(40% damage reduction) + Basic Instinct(no damage penalty to guard, 30% run speed boost, healing and damage +100%) = You can solo many group things. as for ultra instinct last time i tried it wouldn't allow me to use it for the carnival but said it can only function for dungeons has this changed in a recent patch that i am unaware of???
but i do have all the mitigation spells including the ones with counters an i do know the instant kill for mobs but far as the carnival goes which is from my viewpoint here is what everyone is telling me to do is heavily reliant on gimmicks you have to solve within a time limit thus putting stress on players to perform optimally or within a drastic way an without knowing said fights or gimmicks causes time to be lost which could have easily been better used on hunts or like fates etc.
Then use the Jeeqbit solution, it last 15/20 min a week, and 60 Aetheryte tickets are more than enough for a week, unless you TP anormally often (I mean I slowly stocked until 999 tickets by doing mainly that).thank you all for the replies and suggestions but to my main point i'm just asking the devs if they could add them to the other hunt clan vendors as well ^^ i don't think thats an unreasonable demand to make.

Sure it would be good you could buy them with new currencies, but pretending it takes too long to get Aetherytes tickets is just false.
i appreciate this comment thank you maybe i will see if any trains then have room in these next few days for a super casual lolThere is no need to sink hours or to join hunt trains.

The B-Ranks are solo btw. No trains needed: just go to Kugane, pick up the lvl 70 weekly, do the same thing in Foundation. You can also pickup the other hunt bills in case you come across other mobs (lvl 3 give 15 seals each and they are repeatable daily). I use the FFXIVhunt.com site to point me at all the possible locations and it's 10 mins max.i appreciate this comment thank you maybe i will see if any trains then have room in these next few days for a super casual loltho wouldn't be a bit more efficient to save up a bunch of tickets tho rather then going thru them in a week by week basis? i do have some nice friends who taxi me around though when they are available or i ask a fc member if any are online but i do have very little gil trying to save up to level a craft so i can get more gil like others >w<

i'm sorry i didn't mean to sound like it took too long i just felt like it didn't make too much sense why it wasn't continued to the hunts for further expansions is all they kinda left it hanging at stormblood. :/ always saving up as much as i can get of them from doing the slower easier hunts weekly or daily etc. did try the carnival stuff but it was just eating up too much of my concentration an what little time i do have to play etc trying to figure out how every fight works an what spells i have to have its why i said casual player and not those who are leagues ahead..
