As long as the chorus near the end drops at the exact moment the rag-doll physics kick in, because hearing the song's chorus suddenly sing "So smile and let the rainbow sing" at the exact moment that the rag-doll physics trigger and launch Wuk Lamat high into the air in a rainbow colored explosion is too good a sight to pass up.

Youre directing your displeasure at a character when you should be doing it at the writers instead. And the person who okay'd said dialogue and writing.

Koanas outburst was a promising glimpse, character actually got mad and emotional in a believable way and not just "grrrrr, we must defeat you".
We need more juicy dialogue, character interactions and moments. Not empty lines of "we must go to place A" "We must focus on defeating B" HUMAN MOMENTS. And no, I dont mean random G'raha d-throating icecreams and gondolaing around fan service ONLY. Meaningful stuff like people actually arguing. The Scions arguing like in Shadowbringers. Every character seems tempered by the plot. The pacing and writing is bad, the music at places including the BAND TRIBUTE main theme was odd.

Naoki Yoshida thinks he can make us like his poster character. In his own words "We will see how great she is". Err.. no, u had a whole expansion story and she is just garbage. I say we boycott all the cutscenes to show Yoshida we dont want to give her second chances, we are done with Wuk Lamat. Please.

Do you know what a boycott is? How would "Yoshida" ever learn about you skipping cutscenes? As long as you are paying, why would he even care?

I'm not even doing msq until I have to so something will unlock that is not an expert roulette dungeon. And when I am forced to go through it, you can bet your sweet bippy that I am going to skip the rest of DT in its entirety unless I start reading reviews that they did a major turn around in the quality of the writing, which sadly at this point isn't very likely.

8.0 will 100% be the deciding factor for me tho on whether or not I should keep going with this game. I am already spending my time in other games more than here and if the writing quality doesn't change or we just keep going with modernity and sci-fi, losing the few remaining fantasy elements left, I think my time in Eorzea will finally be at its end. I stuck by them through 1.0, but unlike those dark times, I really don't believe they care enough to actually take the time and money to try and fix what they broke. Again.

Yoshi P also talked about her as a character with a complex about herself. I don't think he even reviewed the MSQ. It's safe to say he has no idea what will be in the patches. For all we know she could be exactly the same or barely be in them.

What I mean is, I think Yoshi P talks about her as far as what they discussed when story boarding. I don't think he genuinely paid attention to the execution based on what he believes they portrayed in DT.

Thankfully I will be watching it streamed ie not paying.

As much as I hated DT writing, Wuk Lamat's inferiority complex is something that clearly they put in effort and shone through in multiple scenes. It just had a nothingburger resolution is all.

Most already have. That’s why these threads are now half Wuk supporters instead of like 2 percent at the beginning of the expansion. There are far less of us still here to give feedback.

But I’m sure SquareEnix loves a happy forum more than money.
