When RDM gets proper designed artefact armour it almost always looks really good

Not really, most of the RDM tops clip like crazy because of the stupid capes and puffy, dangling parts. I'm also not fond of the whole "musketeer" theme, tbh.

I'd sell my soul for more short, simple Casting tops like these. I either wear these or casual tops because whenever I see a long robe I want to VerStab myself.

There is soooooo much melee gear that would rock on RDM, too bad role restrictions on glamor exist.

Kinda funny how they waterboarded us with "Yeeee. We respect the cultures, yada yada" at least stick to the theme and give us New World themed glams like a damned cowboy/cowgirl glam? Some South-American themed outfit with a bunch of feathers like a carneval outfit? Hell even a sombrero wouldve been nice.

But instead we get some 90's ravepants, a baseball top, a stupid cap. Final "fantasy" my ass.

That’s not because caster fantasy glams are inherently uncreative it’s because the devs basically design all caster armour for BLM/WHM then tell the other 6 casters to kick rocks

This is a consistent issue in general with this game, the Ur Example of a specific role's gets the sole focus and nothing else, all Aiming gear is designed with BRD in mind, and it sort of works for MCH, but DNC is SOL, also prevalent but less pronounced with Fending gear, and the melee roles have so many subdivisions that they kind of get away with it, so if you care about looking the part when playing a specific Job, sucks to be you.

For what is worth, when an armor set is trying to make a specific reference to something they break those conventions, the Nier raid outfits all take outfits from existing characters from Automata(or pretty close), background characters or otherwise, same for Ivalice raids, that use outfits from various characters from the Ivalice games, IIRC you outright get Balthier and Basch's oufits, and I think at least one of Ramza's.

While I like the fantasy glams, I also like all the casual glams that have been coming out. The casual glams have made the clubbing rp scene much bigger. Yeah sure, clubbing rp is not for everyone but you can't deny it has blown up and that means more subscriptions being paid for the game. I actually want an expansion in another reflection that is mostly sci fi like the world of FFVIII/XIII and Mass Effect combined. That gives the devs an entire expansion to design new fantasy glams in the following expansion that goes back to pure fantasy when we go visit Meracydia. Emet Selch did encourage us to visit the other reflections and said some of the civilizations of those reflections would surprise us, therefore, a sci fi heavy setting where the moon is colonized with major cities and even other planets.... does the solar system of Hydaelyn even have other planets?

They should be creating more outfits inspired by the various in game cities, locales, creatures and whatnot. Make something inspired by the past astral eras like Mhachi and Amdapor. What did the people of Qarn or Wanderers Palace look like?

Just look at all the effort DoH/DoL job exclusives get compared to what we've been getting for all class.

I dislike the modern glams the odd one here and there is ok but now I feel like I am in the middle of the wrong game. I now think the NPC's look out of place next to all the tacky caps and leather wtf that was we got in DT?

1.0 may have failed but the game is so far from the dark fantasy gritty feel now its a shame. I feel at times it looks like the sims and the new hair omg wtf it looks like a bowl of noodles on their head.

The game must make some serious cash I do not know who is designing this but its trash they have lost the lovely look of the game and the guys who designed the Nier outfits need to come in and give their heads a wobble because as of late this game looks like its for 12 year old kids wanting to play the sims.

Yeh I know it looks bad. I do not think they have done a very good job of adding it to the game it does not look great. I think we should have more styles like this for players who want it but from the picture they posted it looks terrible. It reminds me of the old play dough stuff I used to use when was a kid lol.

They also need to add some longer better hairstyles they have not for years.

I Dont think the hairstyle is that bad they just chose two faces that it does not suit at all
Male au ra face 3 looks good in like 6 hair styles tops and that aint one of them also poor choice of color

I don't care for it either, but as you said there is clearly an audience for it because most people you see in parties where casual clothes and don't care that it doesn't make sense when fighting all these bosses.

To be fair, there is plenty of fantasy glamour too.
