I figured, but considering the writing for a patch MSQ is like a total of 1 hour of content, and they now take 4 to 5 months per patch, I hoped they could have course corrected just a tad.

Rewriting wouldnt be the hard part its... literally everything else; approval from several leads to hault current development to adjust for changes, voice work, animation, battle development, then localization for each language, and approval from xbox, ps, and steam to roll out updates... Folks really dont understand how this all works...

I'm not sure how they would have to stop development for battle content unless the 1 second clip we got of Wuk is here inserting herself into another fight and taking over like she already did once.

Animations? We barely have them in this game. I don't think they have facial scans or anything and XIV's animations are overall pretty basic. A lot of scenes are people just looking at each other or using generic emotes.

Voicework? More than half of the game isn't voiced and maybe we get a couple minutes top for a patch.

Localization for a short script also shouldn't take that long.

They have more than enough time in 5 months to adjust.
