I was actually going to elaborate on this but yes, the consistent negative feedback about XVI runs very similar to XIV. Overly streamlined combat with a lack of RPG elements, hit and miss quest quality, poor pacing with high highs and low lows, etc. Obviously you can't compare them 1 to 1 because XVI is a console game...but it does feel very CS3 is some respects.
