7.1 - More Wuk Lamat

The only reason they gave the reason they did is because they already had Wuk written for 7.1+ I doubt they've made her more likeable since the script, voice work and whatever else would need to be changed for not only one patch, but cascading patches to fit, so we're getting more 7.0 Wuk till they can push her out without the story feeling disjointed, expect the same quality writing.

Probably because it's easier to insult others/write off their opinions than actually address their point of view.

I've seen a lot of namecalling / dismissive comments towards many who have issues with Wuk's writing, especially on reddit and twitter.

Unfortunately I've seen this happen for a lot of people who praise Wuk or generally DT's writing as well. It's hard to have any sort of constructive conversation on the matter sometimes.

That would be unfortunate as well. I honestly don't mind if people like Wuk, since we all have different personal tastes. I can't say I'd understand liking her whatsoever, but no reason to insult someone over liking a fictional character.

I mean, I like Lyse and that's hard enough.

I hope so too. I think it's a good sign that the patch poster is about Bakool (Yoshi P was surprised about his popularity too). They can't just write Wuk off because people got tired of her but they can give us subtle hints. Guess we'll see.

It's more likely the .1-.3 story was already done so there's nothing they can do atm

If the healers are willing to stay and keep the actual party alive, everyone else can get up from their computers and Wuk will clear the trial on her own. I think you can go AFK during combat in every duty with Wuk as an NPC and she'll clear it on her own.

This isn't exclusive to Wuk Lamat – it's not uncommon for NPCs to be able to do fights on their own. Certainly for trusts, hit and miss for more gimmicky fights.

Plus, she only turns up for the victory lap where there are no more serious mechanics, so it's not exactly surprising that an NPC whose programming instruction is "output a respectable amount of damage until the boss is dead" is capable of defeating the boss at that point. It's just a matter of how long you want to have to wait, and not really any different to doing the same stunt with a human player soloing.
