Much like Lyse, I appreciate her as a character and what kind of story, struggles and evolution she went through. Unlike scions that are most of the time extremely cardboard, perfect characters with a couple of stereotypical quirks to define them (which is ironic when I read people saying that Lamat is a mary sue, have you seen how perfect and boring the scions are all the time??).

She was harmed by shounen rubbish lines and tone. Not everywhere mind you, but in a lot of little places where it hurts the most and makes you cringe. On the other hand though, I'll hand it to SE, for once, we see actual EMOTION on how characters express themselves, even if rubbish. Good luck getting any of the scions letting out any emotion most of the time, they're almost robotic in nature: the best we get from them is usually a big surprised pikachu when a villain does a Bad Thing.

well hidli questline isn't really on the same LV because you and him are both important in short have you ever played Zelda Majora's mask? if not well just go see a playthrough and then the credit you will notice that the main character(us) inst the main character of the game and I say many many similarities in dawntrail showing us that in this expension we are seeing a story as a side character and some player hate that not gonna lie I loved that felt like when I was being seen it was more of a menace xx)

i enjoy the story even with the poor writing because not gonna lie I got a bit tired to be the focus like overly the main focus xx) but those are personal opinion.

is it perfect nope but it is hard to do such and I think they did decently enough

Thats fair also i beat mm zelda 100% best zelda ever fight me. If you want that experience i highly recommend playing wow. Ppl play ff14 to feel important due to how the game was written. Like i said Hildebrand still 100% focus on hildebrand ad the main plot. Your given appropriate screen time. Yet on Dawn trail your presence isnt even needed considering wuk can do 30 million damage to speene can solo that instance. Your more of a incovience in her story. Hildebrand has a good symbiotic relation with the wol. Dawn trail does terrible with trying to balance 3 different story cause wuk must be the driving force....its krile and erenville. Those two are shafted in terrible ways. Im sure hildebrand will force include wuk lamat considering not even ryne or gaia made an apperance to meet hildebrand. You can sure bet wuk will tho.

Ppl play ff14 to feel important due to how the game was written.

I don't think that's true at all. The talk about who being the main character feels like just a smoking gun to me TBH.

- A lot of people play both FF14 and WoW, so it's not like they can't enjoy both type of delivery.

- Even among the FF family, it's not unheard of. FF Tactic the Ramza is a "shadow influence" but not seen as the main character from a narrative perspective. In FF12 Van is like an NPC that provide a window into the story for the players with very little story relevance.

The point is ... it's ok for the an NPC to be the main character, as long as it's very well written. They have to be something that the players can genuinely and holistically empathize with, who we gladly play a support role for, not being forced or hamfisting into that role. Naturally, an NPC who gonna be the main character will have to meet a higher standard than a side NPC. The problem is WL's writing not only does not meet that elevated standard, it actually fell well below even the average.

If ppl didnt feel that way we wouldn't be talking about this. Bruh lol lets not pretend ppl dont say that cause we all know ppl play ff14 due to Wol being main focus. If that was not the case why do ppl cry about wol not being important to the story.... dont make up lies cause internet already full of bots. XD please tell me something accurate cause only ppl who dont care for wuk drama either skip cutscenes or like wuk. The rest either hate wuk or make post wishing wuk lamat would die....
