Base camping is the new frontline strategy?

A few games now, I've encountered a pack of Paladins parking themselves outside of the base and killing people who respawn. It seems pretty OP especially if you die one person at a time. Can't get back into the game until enough people die to break out or your team comes to rescue you.

Camping happens quite frequently on Seal Rock North spawn, although I haven't seen it so obviously pre-meditated w/ a PLD stack.

I'm sure we'll be told it's just "friends having fun together."

I'd suggest the fundamental issue is that the current high %s of damage reduction in general and the toughness of PLDs in particular, 4-5 PLDs probably require an entire team to shut them down. Balance problem essentially.

You start with 10 seconds of invulnerability how that even works also PLD deals almost no damage in Frontlines.

That's true if it's one person. It's usually 3 PLDs and a Monk or another that they take turns using cover on. Also, if your team doesn't pay any attention, they'll end up with quite a bit of BH. They can kill you 5 vs 1? I'm just saying what I see.

In almost every case the base campers are completely worthless and should just be totally ignored I've almost never seen more than 3 people specifically there to pick off and distract respawn players. /sweep on them as you leave out of spawn.

Tell you a little secret, there is no more base camping after patch 3.1
You have 10s Invulnerable after you get off the spawn platform
You can just mount up and run pass through them and they cant do anything, cant even dis mount you.

Also using 3 PLDs and 1 Monk is not a good bait, and only works for players played like rabid dogs.
Just ignore them?

If your team happens to mass respawn, the base camping will backfire. Even if they don't die right away that's potentially 20 seconds or more wasted if your team gets the upper hand since PLD has a busted defense. Like others said, better to pass them
