This feels like something you'd see in a f2p game.. I don't like this, just based off that feeling alone. That + wasn't that earring exclusive to people who pre-ordered Shaodwbriners? This.. Does not make me happy in the slightest.

6 years & 14,800+ hours of playtime, & I must say goodbye. I cannot support the current direction of SE/CBU3 anymore.
For people who feel like this, why?
Do you really look around town at people's earrings and decide, "wow, they preordered an expansion that released years ago, just like me!" Or do you walk around like "Look at my earring! I preordered!"
I guess I just don't understand the mentality. I played other games where pre-order bonuses were released eventually and never really cared.
Its an MMO. People like having rare/old/exclusive items. Hence, why so many people do Ultimate & show off the weapons/titles, farm the Deep Dungeon solo titles, etc.

I'm more impressed with people who can clear current end-game content or have an achievement than someone who just decided to buy an expansion early. Not really the same thing to me at all.
Even those lose their value as the content gets outdated and then "anyone" can do it unrestricted.
Regardless of how "easy" it is to earn aetheryte tickets, it's still work, and personally I can't be bothered. This would be a mild bonus, no excitement but nothing to complain about either.Putting Aetheryte tickets in there is soooo sad, even when they had the twitch event where stage 2 got you 10 of them was such a sad idea... wtf you can get them easier than you can get gil and gil is heckin easy to come by, whoever did this as a package is a top tier idiot
Really, it's a thing that will be mostly beneficial for the early-game players and alts who don't have other ways of earning tickets yet and are at a point where teleporting is still relatively expensive for what funds they have.
1. Ultimates cannot be entered with an undersized party (unrestricted) party like you stated.I'm more impressed with people who can clear current end-game content or have an achievement than someone who just decided to buy an expansion early. Not really the same thing to me at all.

2. Deep dungeons must be entered in an undersized party to begin with to solo.. That's the entire point.
3. Both force level & ilvl down syncs, so not just "anyone" can do them, the Deep Dungeons solo especially.
I'm not sure you even know what you're talking about. That aside, I can half agree that the pre-order earring being tied to money makes it not as important as Ultimate/Deep dungeon titles.

Why are you being so aggressive? I just meant some other things people show off in town from content you can unrestrict.1. Ultimates cannot be entered with an undersized party (unrestricted) party like you stated.

Anyway I know how much pre-ordering meant to you, and that you really felt special having the item sometimes on a glam, sometimes in your inventory no one can even see. I hope you recover from the slight of others having it now.

I meant no offense, its text, you read it how you'd like to read it. I do apologize if I came off a bit callous, however.

I hate to be the one to tell you this then. But new players, or players who were not around during those expansions, can get those titles, weapons, etc too. They are not exclusive by any means. It's not like legacy items that were meant to be a special thank you from SE for sticking with them in the darkest of times. It's a preorder bonus from like 5 years ago. It is no different than old event items they have on the mog station, at a discounted rate for right now. Of course this same arguement was used then too and you all got over it pretty quick.
This is just such a silly thing to gatekeep.
This is kind of nasty. Like treading as close as they can to freemium mobile/korean MMO territory.
Then again extra retainers is already into the freemium territory. Repeat "GiL iS UsElEsS iN ThIs GAmE" as much as you want, but the fact is players are allowed to pay up to an extra 19 dollars (including their crappy companion app) to have 8 additional chances to get extra gil, crafting material and rare items without farming anything yourself/just logging in to check a menu. How much you care for that advantage is irrelevant. It is an advantage nonetheless.
