Here are some tips:

- You can harvest a map every day with your gatherer jobs.
- You can get a map every week through Wondrous Tails; you don't need to connect any lines; it's a freebie.
- You can just straight up buy maps from the market board, there are no limitations to that. Super cheap too.
- You can use the Party Finder function to look for other people to do these maps with.
- You don't need to wait hours for map parties to fill, especially now since everyone has the same objective.
- You don't need a full party, you can clear these maps with 4 people, maybe even less.
- You don't have to do maps from the current expansion, the objective is to go through ANY portal
- The mog event itself sells maps that guarantee portals

Instead of complaining, how about seeing this objective as a motivation to explore certain parts of the game you may have ignored until now? If you don't like the sound of that, then quit the game or ignore this week's objective.

You can also just solo some group maps as blue mage to finish it.

still can't read what the game is asking you, it's open a map + get a portal + complete that portal by killing the last room boss. anyone who have done maps in its life know that going to the last room is so rng heavy that's it's unlikely to happen in hundreds of maps.

The irony. It says you need to ENTER a portal, not beat the whole dungeon. The event sells level 70 maps which guarantee a portal. If you can't solo some level 70 mobs at 100 you have bigger problems to worry about.

I do.Yes, that's why every time the event comes around.I grind to be able to afford the one hundred token item along with any others that I might desire that are being offered.
