#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
When you late to the blinded party, that's what you get.
If you want it blinded do it when the patch drop, that's the best season.
OR, make a PF for blind prog, wait for the party to fills in no time to ensure how popular your preference is. or wise verse
else, you just want an excuse to waste every other ppl time.
It's a request from the community, not from the game. You can just as easily go blind - it'll just take longer.
I can only advise you to start creating PFs, and organising fixed groups that will allow you to get through these fights. There are too many examples of players complaining about the lack of accessibility of content... But they don't make the effort to create something that will make it accessible for them. So if you think the game lacks groups that allow you to approach it without a guide, create one. And just as people are asked to respect groups that want you to watch a guide, they'll be asked to respect your requirements.
I also work long hours at a stressful job, so at the end of a rough day at work I can totally understand the feeling of just wanting to jump right in to a game and have fun without having to spend my limited free time studying guides.…whatever the content I should not have to study a fight to clear it as most people said as someone that work 50/60 hours a week I can tell you I don't wanna study at all xx).
…just see it as someone else view maybe it often doesn't work with the work life they have?
Now if only SE made a version of these savage fights where I can figure things out in game without a lot of advanced preparation. Oh wait, they did, it’s called normal mode.
It’s almost as if SE creates different content for different people who have different amounts of time to put into the game. I’ll never touch savage content, but I’m glad it’s there for those who have the time to do it and hope they have fun.
Even if other players may have more time to play, nobody has unlimited time. Believe it or not, guides exist because they are time savers, not time wasters as you seem to think. Because someone else has already spent the time repeatedly wiping to figure out the fight by trial and error. It’s said that a smart person learns from their mistakes, but a wise person learns from the mistakes of others.
But you’re right, you totally have the option to not read any guides if you don’t want to and are free to trial and error your way through. Just as the 7 other people you need to clear the fight with also have the option to read the guides and are free to not play with someone who hasn’t.
Random mechanics for all fights wouldn’t change that, because first of all computers cannot generate true randomness.

So somebody somewhere would still come up with a guide that if A happens then do B, but if X happens then do Y etc.
Make a blind prog party and go in. Savage isn't even hard to figure out.

Why not find a blind group and play it as it is? Guides are optional. You can figure out how to resolve mechanics by simply playing through them.
Yes savage and ultimates require you to look at videos and guides. Is it a bad design? Yes, but you'll have SE fanboys/girls praising the game, as you can tell in the comments :P
Fully agree with the consensus here. Party Finder is not a crucial element of Final Fantasy XIV. Nor is the people who play the game. As someone who hasn't raided this tier, I can fully vouch that using Party Finder or watching Hector are completly optional, as I have done neither.
However, I do want to bring attention to the staff at Square Enix that there is some non-compliant behavior happening in the community. You see, Square Enix recently posted an online article highlighting someone who is non-compliant with the forums. He goes by the name Hector and his guides are required in nearly every single listing in Party Finder. Now, I know and fully comply with the rules that Party Finder is NOT an integral component of FFXIV. But this article makes it sound like Hector is important, when he is not. So I kindly request that Square Enix please remove this article from the website.
Furthermore, I kindly request that Party Finder be removed from the game, as what transpires in it is not considered a crucial part of experiencing content.
To people who thinks yeah you can kill with no videos.. yes I know you can say that it is a community problem but SE have the option to minimize it..
If any game require you to watch a guide to play the game it is bad design.. game should ease the mechanic 1 by 1 and encounter should do same mechanic multiple time and gradually increase the intensity of the same mechanic.. rather than putting thousands of mechanics in 1 fight.. that doesn't make game fun..
This is the solution that I think will make guides less problematic and people expect other people to clear the content without guides because the mechanic is the same but each time it repeat it adding a new gemick that can be understood for most people..
In the end we are not playing dark souls (solo game) but in online game I am 100% relying on other people I don't who they are.
Sometimes the savage designed around that you find a static.. which is a kill for people who don't have 7 other people committed and 100% for this weekly clear.
Yoshi P should realize that most people run partyfinder ans they savage should be designed around partyfinder as a priority
