Duty Support to fill empty roles.

You're in a dungeon and someone leaves. The remaining players can vote to choose to recruit a new party member- or introduce an Trust NPC to fill the position.

ESO manages this with their Companion system. It could be useful if you wanted to run content with a single friend or two.

Personally I have no interest in using Trusts ever. That said, I don’t see any harm in letting people use Trusts with other party members. I don’t like the idea of using Trusts to fill a role when somebody leaves though. I chose to queue and play with other players so I want to play with other players not an npc.

It would be nice to have something like this, where if you and a friend are playing dps, you could get 2 Trust or Duty Support fill-ins for tank and healer, rather than wait in a 20-30 minute queue!

I'm for Duty Support allowing parties with more than one person but I don't think we should be allowed to have NPCs replace someone if a party is already established with live players. That seems to go entirely against the idea of roulettes being there to help live players.

I think it would be weird to do Trusts since it requires you to have your trust npc's a certain level for certain encounters, but I could see this helping using duty support NPC's (though I hate the idea of making more dungeons "good for duty support", I heard a lot of fun stuff was lost with that).

If you're waiting that long, I would rather that the root cause is solved rather than the symptom- which is likely improving job design, and improvements to Hall of the Novice, etc..

Yeah, I'll start just powering off my PC if that starts happening. I'm not sure I'm thrilled about trusts as it is. On the fence.
If someone had offered me trusts when I'd started, and I'd been on my own... not sure I'd have ever got used to Duty Finder.

Actually its simple. Mentor should be there to 'help'. Join-party-in-progress should be forced. Just give full EXP and I doubt anyone would mind. If its length of instance, well they could end up with a guildhest anyway.

I don't particularly like trusts myself, but different strokes I suppose. The concern I have is that I could see a system like this being abused and causing more of an impetus to kick bad or disliked players instead of trying to teach them or learn how to deal with the fact some people suck. Plus I hate how single player friendly this game has become already. If it goes that route any further, I feel like our sub fees should be reduced.

That all said, I'm not against the idea, but I think it would need a couple restrictions:

    * Everyone would have to vote yes to backfilling with a trust, with votes being anonymous.
    * Trust vote won't activate if someone is kicked.
    * Trust vote won't activate if the group is mixed. 2 or more already grouped together when queueing. So a full group that had someone drop can vote, but 2 grouped people and two randos with one dropping can't vote -- this is to make sure votes remain anonymous.

I'm against it 100%. It's an mmo not a single player game. Too much has gone single player now. Go meet people in game.
