I agree completely. My main problem is that Erenville doesn't really even contribute to reflection. He's an expositional character that literally does nothing but exposition until the plot is focused on him, at which point he even stops doing that...I'd say Erenville has a lot in common with Urianger, actually. They're both introverts who are most comfortable outside of their conventional social circles (Urianger and the Loporrits, Erenville and the Punutiy). They're both dragged forcibly out of their respective shells by vociferous extraverts that they have tragic backstories with. Outside of Shadowbringers and Endwalker's Scion party wipe sequences, I don't really think that Urianger is much of a combatant either. Not that we need any more battle nerds in the Warrior of Light's friend circle.
I think the primary value that more introverted characters like these add is in reflection. I personally found WL exhausting, and Erenville by contrast just clicked the right balance in exposition. I'd be more than happy to go on more road trips with him. I don't need a character to be consistently in my face to get value out of them. I'm aware this is very much a personal choice, though, and I'm sure that there are obligate extroverts out there who feel the exact opposite.

I'm not going to say this is the worst theory I've ever seen, but that's because I've seen some really bad theories; like, 'if this was right the entire game would be ruined and its story would no longer function' bad. Whereas this is an absolutely terrible idea that refuses to let the past die, but if it were true it'd just lead to an 'UGH' response. Dull, rather than absolutely destructive.Believe

Yes, we all see that you like Pyromancer. That doesn't change Iscah from having a completely reasonable barrier, and one that you're looking extremely inconsiderate and rude for not doing the bare minimum to abide by. In doing so you're not really doing anything but being rude; you're not even successfully telling a joke, because I'm the only one foolish enough to click random Youtube links.
I'll do your work for you, since you're so staunchly opposed to even telling your own joke: his theory is that Emet-Selch is Erenville's father. Because grumpiness must be A: genetic, and B: so rare that two grumpy people must be related. It's also a theory that required Emet to go wandering off to Tural to sleep with Cahciua while he is Emperor Solus Galvus, at a time when the Empire is doing some pretty big-deal stuff like conquering Bozja, Doma and Ala Mhigo.
And frankly, the concept that Emet was horny enough to even have one child is kinda stretching my understading of his character, the notion that he'd have done so in an entirely optional (and rather difficult) context is absurd.

you got burned by a rickroll in 2005 and got permanent ptsd for life from it. Grow up link police.... I bet you still use the Netscape browser from the pre 2000s with no ad blocker... Clicking a link will Infect your PC with the stuxnet virus and make it explode like a pager.... Ridiculous person...Yes, we all see that you like Pyromancer. Emet claimed he had children. I don't think an Ascian has limit on where they can be at any time. We can go to tural anytime and come back. He already knew about the new world... How do you know he didn't go there for tacos for lunch everyday?
