15 minute abandon window is stupid

So healer and DPS disconnect during first pull, end up wiping. After 5 minutes of waiting for them to come back we try to vote abandon, but get the error it is locked for the first 15 minutes. So we wait another 5 minutes, now 10 in total, still nothing. My friend says since the others are DCed we should be free to leave without penalty...NOPE...now I got 30 minute penalty on top of the 10 minutes of wasted time waiting. There has to be a better way to handle this kind of scenario. Unfortunately it is an MSQ dungeon so literally nothing for me to do but wait. I get the need for these systems but there should be some better exceptions built into it.

Why didn’t you just kick them, you can kick a DC’ed person

You instigate a kick on the healer then your friend instigates the kick on the DPS

The game will autokick disconnected players in a dungeon after 10 minutes even if it happens at the start so you must have been short a minute or so when you tried to kick the second time instead of letting the game do it.

The 10 minute wait is still annoying but better than taking the 30 minute penalty.

The reason the wait exists is to discourage players from immediately leaving if they don't like the dungeon they got. Most dungeons would be close to cleared by the time the 15 minutes is up so might as well just do it. It doesn't work all that well - a lot of players are more than happy to take the 30 minute penalty depending on the dungeon.
