They literally swapped to NTT because it was cheaper. NA FF14 wasn't on NTT in HW.Whether you agree or disagree with the rest of a company's policies and products, blaming them for the NTT situation that legitimately isn't their fault nor something they have any power to do anything about, is just wasting time, forum space, and tars far more legitimate concerns with the brush of 'the community being unreasonable'. So please stop.
Yes, so both they and you already know how much work and time is involved with making such a provider switch.
Things that could help:
Showing that we players know what is up and urging SE to put every pressure they can on NTT to get the problem fixed a.s.a.p.
Things that will not help:
Foaming at the mouth, getting openly hostile and posting about how SE just sucks. That just drives them into PR face-saving mode against the player base instead of acting on behalf of it.
Unless you prefer relationships between the dev team and the players to be defined through hostility, a fine tradition that has destroyed game after game.
yeah surely being "nice" works very well, just like the borked models for certain races, the ruined areas thanks to the graphical "update", boring jobs especially healers, vieras and hrothgars hats (it's been 5 years !) , restricted travel for absolutely no reason as we are already back to pre-DT population levels, amongst a lot of other things.Yes, so both they and you already know how much work and time is involved with making such a provider switch.

Surely being nice has worked very well for the community, we are getting absolutely nothing at all because this community is already too nice, they never hold the devs accountable for anything.

Heh, you can check my other posts to see if I am an apologist for the game or not (I am not, I am complaining about a LOT of things), but like I said, we need to find ways to get SE to move for us, not further withdraw from us. Why do we need that? Because end of the day, they are the ones that produce the game. They don't have a game without us, we don't have a game without them. We are stuck with each other, we can't just rage and build more and more anger. That path goes just one place, and it is the game shutting down. As the proverb goes, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar."
MMO addiction exhibit #239085
No one is stuck with Square Enix. There are millions of games out there. Now if you want to play an MMO I feel sorry for you because the entire MMO genre is a dumpster fire.
But most gamers aren't one-genre andies.
I don't actually care if FF14 is destroyed lmao. It'll actually probably be a net benefit to FF14 players since it frees them from their MMO addictions to play actual quality games.Foaming at the mouth, getting openly hostile and posting about how SE just sucks. The nice part about the free market is that bad games eventually die off and get killed. You act as if "game after game" being "destroyed" is a bad thing.
It's good that Concord, Forspoken, Marvel Avengers, the live service TLOU, and so many more are getting destroyed. It's almost as if you shouldn't be making bad games!

I appreciate you being honest about it explicitly here, though it was unnecessary. Your posting history was already making it quite clear that you are here as an agitator, so I am not surprised if your main reason for being on this forum is to incite people to destroy their own game.
AnimalsALot, if you are on this forum, you are paying a subscription fee. To a company you hate, for a game you hate, in a genre you hate, with a community you look down on. I am not so sure if I am the one who has a problem.
What is more sad, someone is upvoting every post you make almost immediately, including where you see it as positive if this game were to die, which means either there are TWO people paying real life money to be somewhere they hate, or you are liking your own posts from a second account...

They were located in the Montreal office of eidos in Canada.
So no, they didn't swap because it was cheaper. They couldn't do any upgrades without overloading the power and cooling of the small data closet they were located in.
