No, bp_isa_ff is right. It's flat out wrong for you to ask people not to try and access what they paid for and entirely on them to provide a stable product. Unless you plan on offering compensation to the entire playerbase for the downtime, you cannot ask what you're asking.

It would be nice if SE could give us some response, besides the usual copy/pasta notice in the news feed.

The fact that this has been going on a full week suggests the attackers intention might be to kill the mmo. If they never let up with this attack, and SE can't stop it, we could be looking at the end of ffxiv in NA.

Participation in ddos assumes that you have ill intent, while I, as a customer, just trying to get my service that I paid for. Which I can not access just because SE cheaped out on buying Cloudflare Spectrum or something similar.
