"Dance of the Dawn" "Finishing Move" "Last Dance"
all of them are finishers that has been interduce in DT,
Why can't we have non finishers that maybe more buffs more party oriented, party utility.
Finishers do not fit the gameplay of Dancer
In practice, only Last Dance is the "new finisher toy".
Finishing Move, despite what the name suggests, it's not a finisher among that list, it's just a "glorified" effect from Flourish to shortcut the next SS. DotD feels like a finisher too, but it is just another Saber Dance but stronger. In fact if it didn't exist, its place would still be there as yet another Saber Dance in the priority list during TS.
But I agree that LD, as a finisher, do feel a bit displaced in the kit, and that's already coming from Tilapia in Endwalker working like a finisher itself.
I thought back then that DNC didn't have anywhere to grow inside the Technical window, and I was right. In practice the advent of Last Dance into the burst and the obligation to use the instant Standard Step as FM there pushed other stuff out of, which honestly feels bad. Before the DNC had to deal with a surplus of feathers coining in, which was great reactive play, but now the challenge is praying to RNG gods to not overcap on Esprit midway your global.
