every time i read "split second to react" i really wonder, do you even look at the screen while playing? Bosses cast their abilities as slow as ever, you have a good 3 to 5 seconds to react to any mechanic , if that is too fast for you, go seek a doctor.

Youa re probably not paying any attention to any fight at all and only look at floor telegraphs, which are NOT indicators when to dodge an ability.

Please name one single mechanic in the game that requires split second reaction time, there isn't one.

And they did Coincounter so dirty, giving him ground tells. They don't even flash at the last moment like every modern dungeon boss, they just show for the entirety of the cast bar. He's just left being a crappy FATE boss. He can teach new players nothing because they won't see where he's facing or his cast bar to learn to avoid glower, and they won't see his different animation when just charging a swipe or a swing. His existence now adds nothing to anyone's experience playing Aurum Vale, and playing the game.

Way to go, battle design team.

I play on a 55" screen, on my PS5 using gamepad.

Ended the whole MSQ and post MSQ. Can you remind me of that "split second to react" mechanics? Because I don't remember any single mechanic that didn't have a huuuuuge tell with the bosses body position (arms or tail) or/and a 5 full seconds cast-bar.

The only one i can remember is that "cactus" boss that makes every AOE bigger and it's TOTALLY intended for it to catch you by surprise first, have a "LOL" moment and then the rest of the times you already know what you are dealing with.

I haven't been playing FFXIV for too long, I started playing during the tail end of Shadowbringers, this being my very first MMO, I was completely lost, I had no idea what a rotation was, or a GCD etc, and it was difficult at first, however since I started playing for the story, that is what I mostly focused on. By the time I finally caught up with the story, EW was already out and while at that point, I was no longer getting lost or left behind in dungeons, I was still playing at what I now know and consider to be sub par or in other words, I sucked. So with no new MSQ till the next patch and being bored I decided to actually learn how to to play my job (BRD) better, I then moved on to DNC which I now main, and I am now competent enough to do my rotation and mostly keep uptime while doing mechanics, and even clear extremes and savage content, which brings me to the point of this little rant, people complaining that the mechanics in DT are too difficult, for example, overlapping aoe\\'s, similar to what appears in extreme or savage content, or non-standard telegraphs being used more often. Look this may sound harsh, but you need to stop whining and get better, simply put "get good", the game and it's difficulty does not solely revolve around YOU. This is NOT a SINGLE player game, where you can adjust the difficulty to suit YOUR preferences. It's impossible for the devs to cater to everyone's individual preferences, the best that they can do is to try to make it what they feel is an appropriate difficulty for everyone, based on the current level of content that they are making. If said content is above your current skill level even after playing all the way up to the current level cap, then it is YOUR responsibility to get better if you want to clear it. Clearing the content on the first try is not always gonna happen, failing at first is also not a problem, that\\'s to be expected, even experienced raiders fail and make mistakes and die multiple times on even normal content when they are first doing it, and while the current normal content is as some would say is more "punishing" as a casual, I welcome the challenge. If however you do not want to be challenged maybe it's best to skip the content, that you deem to hard, and if that includes MSQ, maybe playing an easier game is what's needed, but don't expect your individual needs to come before others
Wow a DNC main I mean that nicely. I barely see any dancers since PCT came out except stragglers. Honestly I prefer a DNC over a PCT, but that's me

Yet take zoraal ja ex vs his normal fight. His EX is way easier than normal fight and way better.
Honestly I love doing everkeep ext because of how fun it is. Plus I'm helping some FC members clear it so they get to see his fight if he wasn't held back like normal run

I don't think normal is hard now but it was a good challenge first time through dungeons with more fast pased movement. But people that do find it harder are valid in their opinion whether I agree or disagree personally. There is a large user base of varying skills for this game. But the arguement of "get good" makes everything you say just an elitist remark. Maybe it's time you try out a more hardcore mmo instead of getting angry about other people's skill levels.

I posted yesterday about how I have no content currently because I don't raid high level stuff. If the game continues to release hardcore content instead of stuff I want to doz guess what? I will find something else that meets what I want to do.

I don't know why you think your needs should be met over others as well. Who are you to make those demands?

not hard for YOU. Congrats. But it's not all about you. How about you do the hard, extreme, and savage and let other people have an enjoyable game?
