I see no issues with connecting NA, EU and OCE servers as we were once the same community on the old NA DC years ago.

I totally understand the concerns of the Japanese and if they want to remain separate, I have no issues with that.

If they wanted, they could experiment with the JP DCs by allowing one DC but not all of them as a connected DC. This way they could have it both ways, those who want to remain separate, stay in that DC, others could join the connected DC.

Just adding my two cents; please connect NA, EU, and OCE. I don't see the issue with connecting JP servers--literally anyone can go and make a character on these servers to begin with, it's not like they're region locked. But if they must leave JP out, at least connect the other three.

Yes, please do replicate "Walmart in Germany" with NA player run venues on EU DCs because it worked so well.

Most NA players, who want to run a venue on EU, have already a character on EU.

As someone who raids regularly on both NA and EU, I say at this point there's very little cultural difference and both should be able to play together nicely. PF has more or less unified under Hector strats, and when Hector strats aren't the case..... Both DCs have their own pastebins and raidplans that are easily accessible.
I understand if JP is locked out of this, since there is a big cultural gap between us and JP players.

OCE players on the other hand, should roam freely since their community is so small to begin with.

This will also save me from levelling alts every expansion, so you have my greenlight SE!

While we do have a morning raid scene it's still sometimes difficult to get a group going. It fills evantually, but it takes longer than it would on peak times. This is especially true if you want to pf ultimates. If I try to put a party up, I would be lucky if it even fills. For things like Savage; and correct me if I'm wrong to be honest because I didn't pf this tier, but I'd imagine even now it'd take a bit longer to fill in comparison if someone was on EU. People who raid in morning will probably have better ping on EU anyways or JP if they're from SEA.

I honestly cannot say what will happen but I won't be surprised if the morning raiding scene in NA goes to EU to raid. Most EU people on NA are here for their friends and already established themselves here. Of course NA will end up having a morning raid scene cause people can't leave in the first place.

Do Chaos and Light have 40+ savage PF at what would be noon-2pm their time? At least that's how Aether was last time I checked like 2 weeks ago. If they don't have an early raiding scene that's matching or higher in volume, I don't see why they'd leave. I'd assume Light /might/ do it but I don't know if they're super server status like Aether and what Mana used to be.

I don't understand why people think that EU is going to go to NA to raid. When you're used to less than 100ms ping, anything with 150ms ping is a nightmare. If anything, EU folks on NA will go to EU to raid.

Because there's going to be a good chunk of players that care about content completion and not parsing. And there's another section using tools they're not supposed to that don't get affected by ping at all. I run at like 85-100 ping on NA and I regularly PvP on JP and run PvE on OCE from time to time with 150-200+ across both. If you have a schedule that doesn't allow you to play during EU peak times, you want a higher volume of PF's to pick from, or you find it higher quality, you're not going to care about the ping difference. I'm biased toward whether travel is allowed just because I know the EU and NA pvp population hate each other extensively and I know as a minimum, EU pvp'ers would be over on NA for casual queue's just because EU's quality is in the dirt too hard.

I don't want to have to make/gear an alt whenever social events are happening on NA. I could even help my overseas friends clear content if ping allows for it -- I see no issues with this.

You are able to complete the content on NA and EU. And i do not think, that it will change when they open the DC travel.
