As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Get that bias out of here. You cropped 5 parties out of a comparatively tiny data center then asserted your point. Cherry picking ain't gonna cut it. I have never seen a week where healer wasn't the most desperately needed class in savage pf's.

I bet there are just as many healers as there are tanks clearing raids, and just as many support roles as DPS.![]()

I'm curious though, what are your thoughts on the screenshot you shared? I thought healers/tanks in any game are usually what's in demand, more so healers? Isn't this natural? It just shows there's plenty more dps/tanks than healers no?

There is usually more DPS than supports in an MMO that’s entirely normal. However usually this is compensated by there being more DPS in a full raid than supports while 14 maintains parity. There is more DPS than tanks and healers put together
There is usually also a roughly equal amount of tanks to healers but 14 suffers from a large deficit in healers compared to tanks in the high end. When the system functionally enforces a comp having a massive deficit of one role is not a desirable outcome. There should be roughly the same number of healers as tanks but in the current high end design there isn’t

This is really interesting. I only dabbed in extremes and dipped toes in savages (which I found tiring), the healer role felt like it was the last to fill? I haven't made it to the high end in DT yet so I can't judge how long these parties need to fill. I wonder if it says something about the Tier as a whole? Fights being not fun/scuffed to heal?
