The death of savage raiding and SE's lack of action

I'm a tank main, and for my M3S reclear this week I had to do it as shield healer lol. Caused 2 wipes cuz I forgot the healer position, but I was able to do it with 713 iLevel. In Elemental the healer shortage is mostly felt when late at night (10 pm+), I waited sooooo long as a tank in my group, while I saw another party with all roles filled except shield healer. I just used my M1S coffer and books to raise my healer iLevel and joined.

We want more healing and less dps, more utility, more support. We spam our dps abilities because we literally have nothing else to do.

We want more healing and less spamming our one dps button.

I still want more dps tools for the inevitable decrease in healing needs due to gearing and for doing content outside raiding.

Healer main, would LOVE to do savage raiding but no one actually cares to teach people who have never done it before. That content is extremely gatekept from a lot of players.

You should check out the NAUR and Sausfest discords - both are full of entire teams of raiders who run teaching parties for the explicit purpose of helping people get into savage. I'm not gonna sit here and say that savage is the simplest thing in the world to get into, but calling it gatekept is going a bit far.

I see the role in need always fluctuating by the week, sometimes Tank, sometimes Healer

I remember week 3 have flooding of Range and then week 4 somehow Range are absent from most party

the only role i have yet to see they absent are melee

I believe it's a couple things happening.. mostly a matter of people are throwing up their own PF before checking if others are open and/or because they're a partial party. Also there are lots of various strats being used and people only wanna do what they wanna do. So it's just a hodgepodge of wrong job, wrong strat, lots of parties/part preform, etc..

When I was catching up on the ultimates in Endwalker, it was more often than not that every party I joined or formed would be waiting on one or both healers for a mind-boggling amount of time, sometimes requiring one or more party finder refreshes after the hour was up. The same was true, if not even more severe, when I was running optimization parties before that. This is definitely not a case of confirmation bias; there is a serious shortage of healer players in high-end content, because the role is poorly designed and not fun for most high-end players. It needs to be addressed.

it's stem from some people generalised the idea that Healer issue will kill the entire raiding community, so I'm am actually the one with "so can I"
