The death of savage raiding and SE's lack of action

Anyone's who's been savage raiding recently has definitely become familiar with the sight: Over a dozen parties filled with 0 healer's in sight. Spending your night sitting idle for 3 hours and only actually raiding for 2. Is this the premium experience you wanted us to enjoy this expansion YoshiP? Is this what's going to keep people paying your company's light bill (and pay them to develop terrible games that bomb on release)?

This isn't something that the players are doing wrong, it's something that SquareEnix and CBU3 have done wrong. They've repeatedly failed to address complaints from the playerbase over a significant period of time and now there is such a healer scarcity that people are outright quitting savage or planning to quit after this tier.

There's plenty of ways to incentivize healers to play high level content. Even something as simple as special mounts, minions, and achievements to bring out the achievement and mount hunters. SE has done nothing, and now this is the result. ig it's my fault for not enjoying the gameplay of healer either. Mea culpa Mr YoshiP sir I'll make sure I look forward to it harder.

How strange, I was lead to believe the strike was "negligible" and that we had tons of scab healers spamming "thanks for the fast queues" to make up for it. Clearly the solution is to just stack more WARs for healing instead, or just bring one, I hear they're *wonderful* at soloing these days while everyone watches~

...I feel the need to specify that I'm being sarcastic, and I'm quite aware of the Healer Strike and support it, I just find it funny that the impact is finally being felt after it being dismissed for so long.

Probably a good idea to specify your being sarcastic because the metrics suggest there are many clearing the raid tier very quickly...so I don't think healers need free stuff for selecting a role.

You're gonna wanna sort to "duty complete, weekly reward unclaimed" and try again, taking into account that 10pm EST at night is not indicative of the health of the pf healer population and that what we're looking for is trending patterns over the course of the entire evening, then over the course of the week, and finally over the course of the expansion to unearth role shortages, not just a single datapoint that serves as a confirmation bias to your viewpoint.

Well, healing isn’t fun anymore as dps devs have been maintaining it and not a healer dev. We want more healing and less dps, more utility, more support. We spam our dps abilities because we literally have nothing else to do.

My favorite raid run was one where everybody died but me and a tank. It was such a rush to get everybody back up, mad healing and a clutch victory. Most of that run I was GCD healing and it felt so good to use my full kit.

This may sound strange to some but how about we change the design of fights to get rid of the hard enrage and have a soft one. As time progresses, healing gets harder and harder until the healers are overwhelmed and the raid wipes.

I'm thankfully in a static with two of my friends playing healers but whenever one of them can't make raid night due to IRL obligations, it takes forever for us to find a healer in PF. Last time it took 43 minutes. This is being on Zodiark, a fairly highly populated server with a large raiding community.

Striker doesnt care about things like that. they speak for the majority of people who apparently elected Striker to speak to an issue that they dont care about and isnt affecting anyone.

Healer main, would LOVE to do savage raiding but no one actually cares to teach people who have never done it before. That content is extremely gatekept from a lot of players.

Give healers more DPS, make content need more healer uptime, I don't care. Just make it fun to play again. I've been dying to play SCH and AST but cannot bring myself to 111111112111111112 for 15 minutes anymore.
