I personally disagree. While the bosses could use a bit of tweaking to make them more interesting, I rather like the H.R.Giger atmosphere and the music.

Every duty should just IL sync to whatever IL gear the duty drops.

You can tweak the bosses to make them more interesting by syncing them so you actually see their interesting mechanics
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
No. IL Sync is a cancer on the game and only serves to make progress meaningless in Normal Content.
We're still skipping Glasya's mechanics at Minimum Item Level, the only thing that happens is that Behemoth is a lot harder.
Or, or, get this, you can make a Party Finder to do it at Minimum Item Level.
I don’t need to do it MINE because I did while current. But actually syncing it is the best way to actually make it so you see some of their mechanicsNo. IL Sync is a cancer on the game and only serves to make progress meaningless in Normal Content.

Porgress isn't meaningless in the proposed changes as it still severely impacts the ease and speed of clearance of all duties within the same tier. For instance, current vanilla endgame dungeons ran at BiS gear are not even comparable in terms of efficiency comparatively to what they were with vanilla gear.
It just stops doing it for older tiers comparatively (but not quite either because the higher ilvl gear gets, the more it fills the substats when synced anyway so there is still some mild gear creep involved).
Within the same tier. And then it's meaningless as soon as the next tier drops and the next dungeon's gear is just as good as tier 2's savage gear when you go into an old dungeon.Porgress isn't meaningless in the proposed changes as it still severely impacts the ease and speed of clearance of all duties within the same tier. You know what else fills substats? Materia does, and you often end up being less powerful comparatively unless there's a large disparity in gear level since Materia gets ignored when syncing down.
I know about materia and that's what makes gear become a little worse when going over a sync threshold compared to the gear prior that didn't sync and had materia. On the other hand one you're multiple patches ahead or an expansion ahead, your substats are all filled up and it's just way superior to materia melds in 99% of the cases (thus why ultimates stop having specific "on sync" BiS sets past a point when current gear just does the job better). It's not a great system overall. I don't see any reason why materia shouldn't sync like all pieces of gear, instead of having this obscure, awkward system that slowly fills up the substats depending on the ilvl gap with the sync.Within the same tier. But ultimately it boils down to where people put the important/priority, and I definitely do put it into the mechanics and the fun I can have from playing specific content. If said content is a snoozefest, what good is better gear gonna do to my enjoyment of the game?
Welp. Never thought I’d do this, but we’re necromancers now.
Do people think that Crystal Tower now needs a rework since it isn’t representative of Alliance Raids until WoD?
Yes, and Coils of Bahamut too, so you can run in with the dungeonfinder like all the other 8-man raids.
