This is true to a depressing degree. What did we actually learn about Urqopacha, Kozama'uka, Yak T'el (to a slightly lesser extent), Shaaloani, or Heritage Found/Yyasulani during our travels? We learned a bit about the cultures that reside in each of the areas, but very little about the areas themselves. We learned absolutely nothing about Erenville's home.

We never got to truly explore any of these areas. We're simply dragged through them by the plot. They're very pretty, yes. But what else is there?

I can't bring myself to care about the new zones past how the look or the music because it really came across as though the developers didn't care either.

The Dawntrail Maps are all empty, soulless. After completing the MSQ + the Side Quests, there are only 3 reasons to go back there.
    1. Materials
    2. Fates
    3. 3-5 Bosses that spawn at some point

And then you look at World of Warcraft The War Within ...
    Countless World Bosses
    Treasures everywhere in the Maps
    Materials
    Daily & Weekly Quests
    Several Events per month
Hundreds of Minions to collect + you can do even Pet Battles
Bank for each Character with 7 extra Slots for Bags (with the largest Bags you have around 280 Slots
1 Material Storage for each Character with 100 Slots
New addition is the Warband Bank with 5 Pages - 98 Slots each - which you share with all Characters between your Account.
For all that you pay with Gold and not like in Final Fantasy with real Money.
And then there's the Transmog system. Once you collect a weapon, piece of armor, or glamour item, it will remain as a glamour item forever, even if you sold, threw away, or destroyed these items ages ago.

Oh, and the grass isn't greener on the other side. Both Dawntrail and The War Within have a terrible story. Wuk Lamat and Anduin Wrynn should both rot in Hell

Someone call the Forum Police! Because I wrote passive aggressively that DT looks not good. Oh how right I was!

It'll be an omega miracle if they actually go "Let's talk about Wuk Lamat-" and then proceed to actually talk about her. At the very least though, the fact that the recent interviews COMPLETELY left Wuk Lamat out of the conversation and answers shows that maybe, at the very least, they KNOW about the dislike for her, but might just not be sure of how to go about addressing it. It would be one hell of a shit show if the devs and writers do actually acknowledge the Wuk hatred: only to just push the blame onto ALL of Wuk's voice actresses and go "It's not the story that made you hate Wuk, it's the job all the VA's did!" instead of taking responsibility themselves.
I said it before but while the players may not like it, radio silent is 100% the correct - or at least - sensible thing to do right now. They will gain literally nothing acknowledging it now.

    - If they say they hear the feedback and gonna correct course, it's not guaranteed it gonna turn out well and at worst it will just piss everyone off. And frankly, if the writing team remain the same that'll likely be the case.

    - If they say they hear the feedback but believe everything is fine and it's just vocal minority ... well, sadistically I almost wish they gonna do that just to see how bright thing will burn.

    - If they say they hear the feedback it's too late to change anything for this expansion, basically they'll kill off any excitement and expectation for the next 2 years in term of the MSQ.

So it's not a winning situation for them regardless. IMO the best things I hope to happen is they indeed try to correct course, and it turns out well. I'm pretty sure only after receiving the positive receipt that Yoshi may came out and claim "hey, we listened to your feedback and made thing better!"

Problem is, that's in a sidequest and it could just be another writer cleaning up the garbage MSQ.... or if it was intentional it's very easy for a lot of players to miss.
They said they were too hungry to even do magic. If I was sitting around starving after a storm has demolished my house all so some royal brats can be tested on their farming strategies, I'd be so mad. I don't blame the giants in red for rebelling against this clown show. If Gulool Ja Ja had bothered raising his kids properly, I'd be able to eat right now.

I also find it odd how readily everyone accepts Gulool Ja as the new King? of Solution 9...

Yes Zarool Ja picked him/gave him authority. But Zarool Ja is also the king who murdered his own citizens, and he was only given the position of King because he made a deal with Sphene to get her the souls she needed. He did not deliver on that promise, he failed to get her the souls (he had the opportunity, attacked and got 50, but then let his pride get in the way and stopped. I assume as she planned to move through all the shards and source 50 was not enough), and as mentioned he then went and killed her people. Why exactly is everyone so happy with honouring the last wishes of someone who has proven by failing his end of the bargain and killing people that he is unfit to rule.

Because he's Wuk Lamats brother? And they want to try and soften her killing him by being able to abide by his last wishes and play happy families with what seems fairly certain to be a clone of him?

Why do the people of Solution 9, who seemed to have no part in Zarool Ja attacking Tural and no idea what Sphenes end goal was, have no say in their own future and instead have to abide by the choices of the false king who slaughtered them? Why weren't they given a chance to gather together and figure out what they want to do next themselves in terms of government and a new ruler that Gulool Ja could pass on the authority to.

    Because we colonized them.

The computer system that runs their bunker recognizes him as king and he has complete control of their robot army. So what are they gonna do? Ask nicely? Auntie Wuk would tell him to say no, don't transfer control of the army to these people cause they are planted right in the middle of my nation of happiness and peace. She's literally already told him that.

And it's not that they didn't object. It's that they have no recourse. What are they gonna do? Attempt to kill a kid protected by the system that runs the building they all live in AND the nephew of king and queen of a nation that defeated them in a single afternoon?

I managed to bring myself to do more MSQ yesterday and uh...I'm not sure if something is ~lost in translation~ but this came off as really rude? Also, this also confirms that all there is to her is 'I'm hungry'....Which honestly is awful.

Who speaks to and about their father like that (even adopted). Does she consider the head of resolve/reason to be separate entities? Or something? Or is 'being a ruler' 'going for the throne' actually getting to her head...?

She didn't come in worried about her father's wellbeing- or ours, but simply....she couldn't get to finish 'eating' because her 'father' is acting up. I'd expect this maybe from the man's really old disgruntled wife who is tired of his shit but is maybe concerned for his 'health' or something not from his daughter.

This is wild because I was starting to kinda settle into 'ehhh it's manageable I can somewhat tolerate it' then she actually went ahead and full on ruined it- as she usually does.
Prior to this she was moaning about how she's 'selfish' for wrangling the goldsmith to her cause, and honestly? I think she should. I guess the writing wanted me to go like 'aww no don't say that' but it truly is backfiring..

I don't know, I kinda fell asleep again later after Koana started malding hard at his sister being kidnapped while I'm standing here like 'I feel bad but also glad I could breathe'.

Also, Wuk Evu is a horrible character, existing to exposition dump nothing more...

Hanu tradition? Wuk Evu knows it all.
Golden City? Wuk Evu knows it all.
    I wonder what's next?

At this rate I feel like I'm going to slip into a coma by the end of the MSQ. I can't even think or be excited about the golden city because it's all about Wuk Lamat, if I could rewind time, I'd pluck Emet out of the aetherial sea and ask him what the hell?
