I hope you're doing well now though, panic attacks really suck. I hope you find good friends here and be careful in this game. u.uThat's the big thing for me. While it did ease up in the later parts of DT, it felt like all we were doing is just watching a trainwreck while chained to a tree. We couldn't do anything at all. Even in ARR and Stormblood, which are considered two of the weaker storylines, we still were doing things ourselves.
I didn't like her either, and the only reason Wuk Lamat even has a point over her is because Zero caused me three panic attacks and nearly a fourth, while Wuk Lamat only caused one (TL;DR: had some very abusive friends and left a toxic RP community to come here, both 6.x and 7.0's questionable writing managed to replicate things I fled from.)
dont know i am kinda not surprised at all. This answer was more off then i thought. Mixed reviews is underrating for now. Takeing a look at reviews and steam i cant tell its mixed... more negative. Ofc i know he cant stand there and butcher his team but cmon abit more reacting to the actual critiques. Guess nothing will change here and people will defend it further with yoshi himself say it was planned beeing low. same shooot like you should play other games when you want stuff to do in 14. Sadly i payed already a half year ... stupid me
Lmao there's no way that statement is gonna reach him on the live letter. SE is going to screen the hell out of all questions and comments, and they'll only field the easy ones.
The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
Haha I respect how he's cooking them. Basically, he now realizes how hoillywood-nized today's playerbase is. If the character isn't a Batman (like estinien) or a spiderman or some other comic book type character "westerners" won't like said character. Last time people complained this much was with Lyse because she wasn't the perfect woman.
Yoship now realizes the mentality and shallowness of a lot of its customers in regards to story/characters.
This is the fast food generation; gotta have explosions and guns in every other cutscene.
TLDR of all that
"it'll get good guys lmao i swear trust me"
Same, I have 2 weeks left on my sub and won't be returning unless there's a major shake up. Yoshi-P's response isn't even PR talk, it's just completely tone deaf.
This is the first time ever I don't feel like I have anything to look forward to in FF14, thus there's no point playing just for roulettes and weekly lockouts when there are so many others games and other hobbies I can enjoy instead...
So he understood what he wanted again. That's not the problem, the problem is the character without grow, repetitive text, deus ex machina to make her fucking super powerful without any means for it to the end of the expansion, overshadowing other characters. Lack of Erenville and Krile, and how all of this hurt the Scions personalities too. Aside that he lied to us about the Scions fighting to each other. And how bad they treated the WoL with the MSQ and the options of dialogue having no meaning.link to the article:

"We depicted Wuk Lamat as someone who had a bit of a complex towards her parents and also towards her siblings, and because of that lack of confidence, I think that also contributed to the slow pace and the feeling of frustration.
"If we had maybe portrayed her as more of a confident character, maybe we would not have encountered that kind of situation. So in that regard, I feel that we did something quite bad for Wuk Lamat as a character. And taking on this experience, it made me realise that it's important to consider those things when it comes to showcasing the character to the players."
I'm so tired of this man...
"We did see feedback from people who wanted to tackle the battle content faster. So because we saw that type of feedback we will take that on board as a learning process and experience" the game is in it's 10th?? 11th?? year at this point I can't accept that they're "still learning" regarding fundamental things like story structure and quest/content pacing - in fact especially content and pacing is a direction issue - and our director certainly doesn't have the luxury of inexperience to explain the poor decisions in DT. Really disappointing.
If I speak at one constant volume
At one constant pitch
At one constant rhythm right into your ear
You still won't hear
