Seeing all the people here rightfully shitting on the MSQ warms my heart.

It's not even WL being a bad character. I would give her a fair chance midway through the story had the scions got a bit more attention and she didn't get some obscene power-ups at random. Then the latter part of the story, the scions were just decorations ... the story is just written poorly. WL was definitely affected as a result of the story, and probably the most visibly impacted character to do so since she takes the most dialogue in the MSQ. The number of times people just clench their fists to display anger... I'm pretty sure there's better ways to show that...

The way the plot portrayed everything and the way Wuk Lamat reacted made her feel 2D as a character even with all the dialogue she got. Dawntrail was just poor storytelling compared to the previous expansions. :x

Its not Wuk Lamat's fault the writers handled her badly.

What in the abstract nonsense is this? Wuk Lamat is a fictional character. The writers didn't "handle" her. They created her. She's a bad character because the writers wrote her badly. That's the reason every bad character in all media is bad. She's not some living person who was just done dirty.

Wuk, and by extension DT, is just the continuation of the wrong lessons they learned from the high sales numbers and whatever engagement metrics they look at.

Nope. She's been a bad character since 6.55

Not even during her first introduction, did I care about her, nor wanted to support her quest to become Leader of a Country. The WoL and I were dragged against our will through this MSQ.

I mean, if you look at all the nice QoL and other things they added that respect the player's time in War Within, maybe the devs should take some more from WoW. There's a literal mountain of ways to gear your character in War Within, even ways that can be done completely solo. Would be nice to see FF14 do that so gearing multiple jobs is quicker.
