Dramatic for a company to cheap out on PvP effort or having a pvp team or having a community representative to communicate?

You're right. I apologise for over reacting, like I said, you clearly have a higher skill cap and have attained a level of knowledge that I cannot comprehend. That's why PvP ranked is fun and balanced to you.
So if VIP and PIC have a placeholder skill why couldn't they put the extra effort to make them viable and not tone deaf?

For a casual mode, I think the current iteration of PvP is more fun than the last. Good job.
As a serious competitive mode, I think the last iteration or the ones before were more fun and rewarding skill a bit more than the current.
I will bet 100$ on it, that some of the tomestone gear from shadowbringers, e.g. Deepshadow stuff, aswell as some of the current dungeon gear -forgot name, was initially intended for PvP as it fits its style way more. But as they ran into time trouble releasing patches/addons on time, they used what was available, bingo - PvP glam that was already modeled. You can always make new glam later, but you can't publish an addon with a dungeon without glam.
And I think that needs to be looked at, the glam rewards for PvP seem pretty random now, not really fitting as good as before.
I think Rival Wings/ Astrologos desperately needs an adjustment on gameplay level mechanics for the current iteration of PvP, especially the LB generation buff in those duties will make it very imbalanced. As well as HP of the mechas would need to be adjusted for current dmg output to make it like before. [This could have been done fairly quickly if one guy at SE dev team actually played 1 match of it for once, and made some adjustments to the numbers....] It is disappointing that this hasnt happened for 2years or so. (and that one mode is still blocked since even longer)
As pointed out often, I think Arena and Frontline mode needs a different system each. How you do it is up to the devs. Otherwise you will always have player being unsatisfied from one group.
I actively do not play the shatter map in frontline, I still think it needs further adjustments. For me it is a PvE map, and I would rather queue as mineworker than a combat class because I am busy destroying ice in 90% of the cases, but I actually don't do it, because I want to play PvP, by doing so I actively am a detriment to my party, as I am not playing optimally by destroying ice crystals. That is beyond stupid game design in my eyes.
If you have z-axis maps, aoe abilities should hit z-axis too. Most won't really. They shouldn't go through obstacles ofc, but some will currently (superflare). So I am not sure what is really happening here...
I liked the upgrades to wolfcollar weapons, it is a good way to spend some of the currency. Though there is not much to spend on, the crystal trophy glam is a reskin of raids, I don't really have a use for them, so what else should I buy? I cant put them in armory so they would take away glam dress. spots. Can't you just make a PvP wardrobe and you unlock glam forever by spending trophy crystals? The gear is level1 anyway, they have 0 gil value.
I think frontline exp should be tiered by place 1st, 2nd ,3rd. Only giving the current exp output if you achieve place1. Then 30% less then 50% less for 3rd place.
Seeing the description of the forgotten frontline mode -The Borderlands Ruins- is meme material. It still says temporarily not available... it has been a year or more? Is it because of salted earth of drk? Are you removing 1 z-axis map because of 1 skill of 1 single job? Why not fix the 1 skill of the 1 single job instead that everyone is complaining about?
Role identity is gone, I would want it come back somewhat at least again. Tank need cc and support, less dmg. Healer need more healing, a bit cc, less dmg. Atm everything is mixed. Defensive skills are offensive skills are support skills are cc skills. Pick one. Make another new skill instead... Mahjong is more complex than PvP. Minion tournament is more complex than PvP. A Bozja fate event is more complex than PvP. Why is PvP more casual than other casual content...?
The PvP hub could need an update too. Some ideas - Add sparring matches against NPC of a chosen job. Add an area to test out mechs, cannons, crystalconflict map mechanics, nodes, battlehigh etc.. Add dummy that can die and respawn. Add another spot for multiple dummy at one spot. Allow 2v2, 3vs3 in the duel area.

Duty record for ranked matches should be default active and stay in archive for a week for GM to review.
I think chat should be enabled again, especially in casual cc mode, option to mute exists now. It sucks so much not being able to say something properly. Only allow auto translated sentences if necessary, still much better. If it still gets abused it is easier for GM to punish it as it is in the chat log...Easy work.
Add an extra audio volume setting for ping messages in PvP and <se.xx> sounds. Casuals are complaining about pings.
Make ranked pvp matches map rotation random. Some jobs only play some maps on purpose. I don't think it is good design for competitive.

Make purify work on dots too, at least in frontline. It used to work like that.
Make sprint cost MP.

I do think SERIES rewards should come back like communicated. People thought they could do a battle pass and directly start an older one and finish it. etc. WHENEVER they want. No pressure. Now it is time limited event as far as we know?! I have all the items from it, but you legit can't take a longer break if you don't want to miss it...
Get rid of forced GC freelancer. You already destroyed premades pretty much. I get brain cancer having to think what GC I am every match and I dislike adders for lore reasons, they just gather flowers and have a whitemage as leader. They seem weak asf??
Fix the North spawn point of seal rock, that spawnpoint is worse than being Poland in 1939. It just doesn't work out if you get attacked from 2 sides at once in the open.

I find it relatively balanced, but it doesn't mean everything is perfect and like everyone I'd like minor things to be adjusted, or would have liked actually LAST expansion when it still mattered... But I just think that it's workable, which is already good. Maybe my bar is set too low, but I don't think current CC balance warrants being so vehement about it like it's absolutely terrible. It's possible to reach top 10 with any job, even SAM. I've seen DNC players going over 1000 MMR, and that's definitely not a meta job.
And there is way better players than me that may disagree. I just gave my opinion.
Personally I'd like them to have a more reactive team too. I'd like to see them adjust PCT and VPR next minor patch actually so that they can try adjusting and ironing things out actually BEFORE new season hits in 7.1. If anything, the moderate CC balance issues we've had should have been tackled more regularly than what they did. And more importantly, look at the state of FLs, which granted isn't worse than usual since it's never been balanced for it, but it's clear their attempts at fixing it are half assed at best. There is a lot of simple fixes that could be done to already alleviate the most annoying issues (like AoE target cap, etc).
On VPR and PCT I cannot tell you how I find them to be. I have yet to properly play with them in pvp to form a better opinion. Do you think they are truly a lost cause right now? From what I read from people having played them, they're "underwhelming" or "mid", that's the terms i've read. Are they truly so bad that they need an adjustment NOW?

Although I don't know about casuals being fun, new players will be placed in an uneven match against people with thousands of casual games on one side.
I've asked you to kindly go play a few dozen games of Viper and Pictomancer for me so you can help me out with your superior gaming skills. After all, you think there's only minor issues with PvP. Such bold and brazen statements, I respect.
I have absolutely no interest in who can get Crystal Rank in PvP nor do I think highly of those in crystal ranked. Naturally of course, that is my opinion, the opinion of someone who's placed Bronze on a regular (factual).
If you won't make me a guide and share your superior knowledge, you should make a few points on what you want changed in PvP.
Considering that its a PAY to PLAY game, we definately should. PVP since 6.1 has been worst than it ever was in this game. please the community begs you do something (pokes) I think its dead boys
Also, its always the same " players " always in this forum that constantly counter every single complaint, starting to think they might be square enix employees...
6.1 was a large leap ahead from the system we had in 5.xx if you asked the majority of players.
The problem is Square puts absolutely ZERO maintenance into PvP. They leave issues in PVP and ignore them for months, and months on end. If its not classes being broken, it's the maps being exploited. (Invuln node captures anyone?) Not to mention the cheating scandals that went on with several seasons of CC where they issued pathetically light punishments to all involved. They have no excuse for leaving issues that could easily be hotfixed in the game for such long periods of time.
PvP has great potential to retain people during content droughts, but series rewards have been found lacking, incentive for Ranked PvP simply isn't there, especially in the later weeks of the seasons, and Rival wings is a total ghost town except during mogpendium. The developers either don't play PvP, or don't care about anything other than CC. If that is the case, one has to question just how much PvP they really play given some of the job adjustments they've made over the course of Endwalker.
The devs have no interest in supporting/pushing PvP further as it will require more support and resources from their side, which they don't want to deal with. They can't even moderate it with the same 10 players playing it.
My biggest gripe is that you would think they would update the whole theme of PvP with the arrival of CC and removal of Feast, but here we are, stuck with all the Fold & Feast leftovers. It clearly shows their lack of interest in PvP.
I am currently waiting for 7.1 and my ultimate wish is for PvP to be competitive and rewarding, with higher skill expression/ceiling. I would love to keep playing this game and 7.1 is their last chance for me.
