Tell that to MihoyoRecurring cash cows don't get big increase in budget if they're generating a lot as is. Look at mainline Pokemon games for instance. This is also why XIV is getting less experienced people taking big roles (like Dawntrail's scenario writer) while the better ones move to other projects.
And yeah this fanbase loves to talk about spaghetti code excuses. Nearly every code for major growing projects are spaghetti code.

Because ironically, despite making games of predatory nature, they have a better work ethic than SE and have invested the money they earn into actually strengthening the company. Genshin was better than HI3, HSR was better than Genshin, and ZZZ seems to be better yet.
SE would rather spend their budget in unnecessary luxuries for their games (aka making them look pretty) while sacrificing substance and using ungodly amounts of time to develop. Also they love to produce elite collector garbage, like the FFXV car por the KH Chair.
SE diverts XIV profit to other (likely failed) projects and shareholders. It's pathetic.Because ironically, despite making games of predatory nature, they have a better work ethic than SE and have invested the money they earn into actually strengthening the company. Also idk how much time or money it took to update the graphics. I would much prefer to a sequel given that this code is so outdated and allegedly just slowing them down at every turn anyway. It's kind of a lipstick on pig situation. But SE lacks confidence that they can do a ZZZ. That's the problem. (In the sense of funding a XIV follow up that's bigger and better)

Didn't the CEO of SE said recently that they should have been the ones to come up with Genshin because that's what the company is famous for?SE diverts XIV profit to other (likely failed) projects and shareholders. It's pathetic.
