    Some examples:
    - Someone asks a question about waymarks or positions and then people start swearing and cussing and leave the group.
    - Someone micromanages everyone's food and pots, complains about DPS and will run into the wall for just about any reason.
    - Someone points out and accuses others of making mistakes, but is suspiciously silent when they do the same.
    - Someone worships the guide they watched and will blame others for not adjusting to their inflexibility on mechanics with randomness or visual cues.
    - Overly defeatist attitude and bringing the 'we won't clear vibes' to the group prematurely.
-Giving nobody time to type in chat, doing short countdowns without ready checks or just railroading the party in general.

And finally, if someone is asking a question, don't just ignore them. Some people aren't native English speakers. Some people (shockingly!) play on console and can't type 10 words a second. Most people don't share your braincells so they can't immediately understand what you're saying if it's not clear in the text chat.

The amount of times people don't bother communicating and then get upset when there's a miscommunication is too much for a game that relies on social interactions to clear content like savage. If you want to play the game on ignorance mode, don't expect people to be nice. If you put in patience and understanding, maybe you'll get some back.
Haven't seen this yet, sounds like some toxic mentality wherever you're playing.

    My groups usually consist of:
    - A tank who runs cooldowns, half the time they'll ask if anyone wants shorter ones

    - 1-3 people trying to teach/explain the fight

    - Everyone else being mostly quiet outside of asking questions, cracking jokes or having to leave for work/irl things.

Not a raider, not in the slightest, but every PF party I join is anti-social as hell. I figured I'd put my everyman take in on this.

On Dynamis PF groups are the best for getting things done, but the issue is that nobody speaks. They leave at the first issue, etc.

This game keeps surprising me on how toxic it can be while still maintaining this "great community" label.

It's shit. It's been shit for years. People only care about themselves and their friends. So it's no surprise to me that this crap is happening in savage content as well.

I've been doing savage in PF with some friends. We run as a full support comp (2 tanks+2 healers) so we have a bit more control over our groups and I've seen minimal toxicity, but anecdotally I have noticed a lot more people in this tier that leave after 1-2 wipes. The worst someone has said in one of my groups is "nah this ain't it" before leaving lol.

I do my best to maintain a positive attitude and give people the benefit of the doubt, even if it takes a few pulls for the group to find its feet. Complaining and harping on mistakes in party chat is just going to tilt people and make them perform worse. If it becomes obvious that someone lied about their prog point or is griefing us too hard to be carried through, we just unceremoniously kick them and move on.

That said: Please eat food. Doesn't even have to be your bis, just eat anything level-appropriate if you have to. It is literally the bare minimum and people are 100% justified in kicking you over it if you refuse to do so. Not eating food, especially this early into the tier, is actively griefing your healers.

Stop wiping then. M2S is a great example of how low the skill floor is in this title and the average player can’t do it properly. If there is a group called “enrage clear” or similar and you moon and fail beat 1 then ya it’s on you. Grey(t) community btw

This. An enrage/clear group means you can do all the mechs till the very last one properly. And not hold people on beat1/2 prog.

Even a grey can clear, providing there’s no other weird issues around

PF is a crazy place. Lately I have been farming for random things and you get a variety of crazy (some personal experiences):
    - Label your party as "duty completed" and you will get about 5 tells asking you to remove that so they can get a clear. If you do this they end up being the worst out of the group usually.
    - Have someone join, have another person explain the mechanics and set up markers, then one person goes "I'm a visual learner" and leaves.
    - Make a "we are learning mechanics so we can clear" and you get people who get mad at one wipe.
    - People make "One person per job" parties on content that doesn't need it. Y'all DO NOT need this on P4S unsynced it's just following the cheat sheet.
-Join a party that says farm, is not a farm (the classic)

Could go on and on but yeah.

PF is basically the Craigslist of FFXIV.
