Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

Probably an unpopular opinion, but Viera helmets (if they ever arrive) should not have the ears poking out. Hats are a different matter, comfort is important there, but the purpose of a helmet is to protect the head, including the ears. I feel like Viera would just fold their ears back to fit inside the helmet. Rabbit ears can do that, after all.

I'm against it. I like my ears, and the only thing that differentiates me from a Hyur are my ears. If they cut the ears off of one helmet, they'll do it to all hats, just like they're doing with the Miqo'tes. I'd much rather have ear pockets (like they did with the Vanguard Helm of Fending, for example), or if they're too lazy to model exclusive helmets for us, they could at least let my ears pass through the helmets.

In this image, it's clear that the ears didn't "disappear" inside the helmet; they're bent behind it. Honestly, I'd even agree that my ears should bend down to put on a helmet, but I doubt it's possible to model the ears in the same way hair is modeled to fit helmets.

And again, more Dungeon/Raid/Tome sets that are incompatible with Viera and Hroths, 4+ years after their release. Over half of the Artifact gear are incompatible with those races, many pieces of gear have bad scaling and weren't done correctly, Hairstyles are limited and half-assed when they're added to the new races. What is the QA on the cosmetics in this game? Dawntrail is set up to be more of the same where they promise "Viera hats soon please be patient" and then we hear nothing for 2 years until Yoshida needs to go on a press tour again.

Are the item team just wildly incompetent? Those 2 races have been around for about half the life of the game now, there are no valid excuses as far as I'm concerned when CS3 is designing and modeling this gear themselves from the ground up, and can design the gear in a way that works with all the races and not just a few.

Yeah, finally pulled the trigger and chugged that Dawntrail fantasia a few days ago. When/if they ever get around to finishing Viera, maybe I'll go back, but for now, nah.

Would like it if SE would finish adding hairstyles to Viera
they still do not have access to Y'shtola or Thancreds Mog station hairs

edit: they also don't have access to Aymerics hair from mog station
