Petition for Spanish Translation of Final Fantasy XIV

I'm honestly surprised this game isn't already translated to Spanish, it's the 4th most spoken language in the world (according to Wikipedia).

I've been playing this game since ARR beta, I love FF and FFXIV, I am a spanish speaker with well enough english to speak and understand this game and raid with people but I would love to have my friends here that doesn't speak/read english well enough to play the game with me and with a bigger community for every spanish speaker (some tried but it's too hard for them to play, also most are on their 30s yo they are not willing to learn a new language), most of them get discourage because they cannot communicate with ppl and it's the most essentially thing in a MMO: being able to understand the game and have a community.

+1 as I'm learning Japanese and Spanish and would love to play 14 in Spanish, and I want my Spanish friends to enjoy more localized and translated media

They can't translate to spanish yet because they still haven't figured out how to make spanish intelligible when replacing the masculine and feminine suffixes -o and -a with x.

I mean it isn't a problem for the french version. (Vulgar latin dropped its neuter so languages based upon it like French, Spanish, Italian, etc. don't have it)

It's ridiculous that we reached the "South America" expansion where there are literal food items called "Parrillada de Carne" and Tacos and the game still doesn't even habe SUBTITLES (not even asking for voices) in Spanish. Like it's not the 4th most spoken language of the planet.

But ofc its in German which is listed as 12th position.

French have suffixes as well, they did it fine with French, Japanese have too in many other stuff... so have zero sense that XD

I support the expansion of language support for the game, as its main focus is the story. However, I have some information that might contribute to this conversation, although I might not be the best person to point out a path (since we, Brazilians, are also in the same situation).

Yoshi P came to Brazil last year for the BGS event and was asked about translating the game into PT-BR/PT-PT. In this interview, he says that he needs a translation team that understands Japanese, lives in Japan, and is passionate about the game. He mentions at the end that any translator who meets these requirements should send a resume to the team.

As I said, it’s just additional information to contribute to the discussion, but I don’t have a suggestion on what to do. Perhaps encouraging a translation studio to take on the project? If that’s possible, I’m not sure.

I don’t know how many of you speak PT-BR, or how understandable PT-BR is for Spanish speakers, but here’s the interview (unfortunately, I couldn’t find the same interview with subtitles or audio in English to make it easier). He starts talking about this at 1:50.
