What would you like to see in Live Letter LXXXIII?

You are not getting an apology for anything, and basically because the game is not build for individuals but the crowd instead, the fora reflect very little, so does reddit and so on and so forth.

People don't understand that you can't fix the past nor can you forge the future either.

Knowing we probably won't get a direct apology - the biggest thing for me is just some sort of acknowledgement that the MSQ failed the quality test this time around and that they will ... something something different ... going forward. I was bitterly disappointed with how they handled old, beloved characters and new ones that we could have grown to love. Acknowledge it, please.

This is what I meant in my post. I don't expect them to "apologise" necessarily. Just acknowledge enough players reacted negatively and that it will get better or something.

Attachment most likely - but also I recall the alternatives; as bad as some things are in FFXIV; WoW feels more like a skinner box. FF XIV feels more like a platform then a game sometimes. I go there to meet friends and try the new activities that update with a fair bit of frequency. I found the WoW community was really just "lets mash the boss" as the only thing to do at the end...or grind gear to mash said boss. I prefer the character quality and customization and when you look at how the community engages the content in FF you see a range of idea's exercised. In WoW its just "how to get stronger" which gets really boring and honestly many single player games do better.

The MSQ is a nice distraction and serves as a vehicle to move forward the world narrative for whatever RP's players have in mind while adding to the world lore and building around it ways to augment said lore with additions such as written lore books. The music generally feels superior and the encounters (prior to DT trails) I felt are presented in a far more engaging manner then WoW. I've tried a lot of MMO's and my biggest issue is always what the community does - atleast here there is just a drive for drama and clout but your overall interactions with the playerbase are enjoyable compared to mindless combat bots.

i agree in the most points of your post but not about the wow topic. in my point of view the games arent that diffrent, at least in the last time. Both do story into raids into gear for next raid bla bla bla. The point where WoW superior to 14 is QoL. Alt friendly dont get me started with thte " you dont need an alt " talk we all know that many like playing alts, diffrent events using the maps event maps and and and. besides i can write into the chat without getting banned which in 14 is not the case. i was live talking in dc to somebody who litterally reported someone for his greeting. well after the tos change stuff like that is possible. In point of Drama 14 community is on champions level tbh every month another story. but to stay at the topic the things which attach people for this game will not hold everyone for ever, if theres no change there will not be customer anymore. so to answer the previous poster with the question why we are playing and not fck off, theres a simple answer. People who complain CARE for this game and dont hate it.

All I want is an acknowledgement that Healers are going to be improved in the coming patches. Even next expansion.
I'd be happy enough to end my part in the strike if they just say that they're listening and will do something to improve healer gameplay. I think that would be enough for most of us actually.

This, please. I've been having migraines since Dawntrail. No option to turn off bloom and graphics upscaling in 2024 is unacceptable.

Why should we let people say things they shouldn't be saying. If they can't say it in public without consequences.

You can personally ignore it in your now Realizdd Mute Filter, and Blacklist the player.

Or you can be like the rest of us, and actually report BS.

But no one should have the right to speak without consequences. (You're free to speak. But not what it causes to people to react. for good or bad. That's just naturally always gonna occur.)

As for your whole WoW Vs XIV spiel.

No one truly believes it, and most that do say things like that. they do it as a joke, or to raise their mood over other things.
and that has no relevance with the person you responded to was talking about.
