    Dunno why people are stressing base DMG. We know roughly that base dmg also dictates your caps, but for Garuda weapons if the base dmg is lower than ifrit's then it has to rely on the other stat it gives.

    If they have a lower delay and store TP effect on them, they could very well parse better or on par with a ifrit weapon. You're just trading spiked DMG for DoT.

    Precisely. I think the garuda weapons will have a very low delay, ~5 less base damage, and store TP effect.
