Can't a character simply be bad without being labeled woke or political? Can't writers simply just fail without ppl blaming something else for it?The WoL is a player character and silent protagonist. The progression and "character" growth they go through is the entirety of our playthrough--grinding mobs and killing bosses are the progression that Wuk never endures.
There are strong female Roegadyn in the FF universe, and they are more hardy and stoic than females in other races--just look at Merlwyb. They're basically written as tall Tolkienesque dwarves, only with sexual dimorphism and without an obsession for mining and living in caves. Again, it's the fact that Wuk was written to be the "strong and powerful leader" without having to undergo any significant sacrifice or character development; she Didn't Earn It.
Yes. A bad character is a bad character. However, the choices made with the character design and voice actor do compound the errors.
