I wish they would make a feedback section instead and force posters to post there with these types of threads. That way the devs and the community who doesn't care to see it can both equally ignore it. And the complainers with their "feedback" can still have their corner to do so.
If anything, the XIV forums lacks heavier moderation and needs to start mandating consolidating feedback into fewer threads. We should not have 10-20+ threads all posting the exact same thing but just with a different person suffering main character syndrome.
100, this has been a problem since day one with this game. So much so that we honestly need a "consolidating mod" to merge the constant duplicate threads, or lock the duplicates and funnel users to one thread on a topic.I wish they would make a feedback section instead and force posters to post there with these types of threads. That way the devs and the community who doesn't care to see it can both equally ignore it. And the complainers with their "feedback" can still have their corner to do so.

It's the purpose of the forums for people to provide feedback. Whether or not any of you deem the feedback to be valid is entirely irrelevant, it's for CBU3 to decide. These people are and have been directed these forums to do just what they are doing.
Pursue your own pursuits, don't open the threads. If you have some deep-seated issue, then you should be complaining to CBU3 and SE themselves about this being the use of the forums as an attempt to have this no longer be the intended destination for any such feedback. It has been said these posts are meant for twitter, but perhaps they are directed here because CBU3 does not want to have to go to twitter to see the trends occuring in their own company.
You cannot continue to open threads you know you will dislike and expect to be taken seriously when you bark about them. At that point at least the person leaving is actually providing some kind of using feedback for SE.
it seems like the same thing that happened back on the wow forums and people quitting for ff14 threads. y'all dont like seeing yourselves in the mirror huh
I think you should advertise your leave. Other people may not be aware that players share their own grievances and be inspired to leave as well.
Okay, honey. Welcome to the forums. See you here again complaining about the same thing in 10 years if you haven't worked anything out by then.you can just...leave. like im pretty new to the forums but i always thought the unwritten rule of thumb with forums was posting about ditching is just stirring the pot for replies. i get this place is a great space to provide criticism but i can assure you SE does not care the reason for your unsub, it is rly just in the numbers. at this point being like "wow im unsubbing this bung is traaaash bc blank blank and blank" my immediate thought is "ok bait used to be believable" like i can guarantee you there are bigger things to fight about like pineapple on pizza or wether florida is a real place
so anyway im unsubbing bc every fight doesnt have large barricades on the edges and i egressed off the ledge again
they often dodge the points made then say some rude shit. or say rude shit then dodge the points brought up. just ignore em.I guess you decided to skip half my post so you can avoid the point I made:
This is where the devs instruct people to go to provide feedback. Most people post a reason they are unsubbing. It's feedback. The forums aren't here for your approval or entertainment.
The part about ignoring such threads if you dislike them is so you can just enjoy the forum more and also not keep all those threads you supposedly despise at the top of the list.
As for your point b), it seems you are drawn to a lot of drama and like to add to it yourself - so not sure your point.
