Alternative to female Au Ra?

If they're so perfect why is there someone wistfully bringing up their early concept art every other week? If you're happy with them I'm happy for you, but unfortunately your experience is not universal.

I (and many others) would like an alternative, if possible, and we won't know if it is unless we ask. They explicitly cited people's dissatisfaction with ROG becoming NIN as one of the reasons behind VPR's existence, so clearly they keep track of these things, and this particular dissatisfaction has been talked about constantly ever since Au Ra were introduced

I like how the female au ra look currently. They are small and cute which if you dont want to be a catgirl you have another choice.Why do we need it to be another big ugly race? You got two now to switch to if you want that,leave the cute ones alone.

Also calling au ra males groomers is wild when you look like you are straight out of certain animes. I find au ra males to be quite handsome.

Midlanders are also small and cute. I also vehemently disagree on the taller races being ugly, but it comes down to personal taste. In my case, the overly cutesy emotes are what put me off making a female Midlander character.

Human sexual dimorphisms. Attractiveness in males are less about looks than for females. Hence why males ends up with much more varied designs while females ends up based around the human feminine form.

I was under the assumption that a lot of women play male cat stripperbois.

Maybe that changed after the release of male Viera. But cat boys were certainly popular.

I agree some are a little bit too much on the cute side.... But compared to Au Ra... (their Emote are way too muche on the cutesy side and make me cringe.... Azim Steppes are a hell for me XD)

Midlander emotes work for an energetic character like Yda but a lot of them, like talking, cheering, hyping someone up (which the MSQ forces you to multiple times), are also just fairly... neutral? I would not fault anyone who wanted to play a serious Midlander for feeling the same way about them as I do female Au Ra's, though, they're still quite cartoonishly 'girly'

The real problem with female midlander is their hilarious run. I don't mind their other emotes, just that run is so silly.

Honestly, the entire Au Ra race feels half baked. The dudes all walk the tightrope between colossal edgelord and groomer, the chicks seem like carbon copies of each other, even moreso than Mi'qote. I tried to like them, and failed miserably.

If some interns at CBU3 ever get a free few afternoons, they might benefit from writing up a proposal to remake the race from the ground up, or just replace it with something better. I know they couldn't have done this instead of Au Ra due to how Heavensward was in the beginning, but a race of draconic heretics would have been leagues better than what we got.

I fully agree, Male au-ra give serious edgelord groomer vibes and the female au-ra do not give me a womanly vibe, more so teenagers. They even have a dainty run but thats nothing compared to the crash bandicoot run of the male au-ra
