Emmie works when he's doing the dunce to Honoroit's competence. Dunces on their own are rarely funny.

Wuk would have been less intolerable if Erenville was giving her grief over being an idiot. It doesn't need to be mean, but it needed to be present. Audience engagement emerges from commiseration there.

Funnily, With how Erenville usually is, you might mistake him as being savvy enough to recognize what is happening and denying it purposely.

Remember when DC held a vote on whether or not to kill a version of Robin off in the Batman comics? How people voted to take him out and how that decision dramatically changed Batman with how dark that arc was?

I think Wuk Lamat would be perfect for this. For players who beat DT's MSQ by let's say 7.2, when you log in you get a pop up that is a poll on leaving this character alive or taking them out. It would be a poll based on active players who beat the MSQ at that time and it would be per active account not character with the poll active for one week only. Throw a free minion in for participating.

I'd totally be down to see the campaigns players have for/against it and I'd be interested in the outcome. The WoL's story is our story, give us the occasional choice on how it could proceed.

No I did not in fact story skip, if I did I would have no grounds to comment here. Assuming that is pretty rude. I like DT that's mu opinion, the only reason I posted in here was due to the pretty rude and gross hash tag OP is trying to create. I never mentioned it but it's disgusting.

What's funny is that you're the one who started the whole argument by assuming things about people, specifically that we all can't bear not being in the spotlight. Then you continue and get personal, start saying people have thin skin and want to be the center of the universe. And as soon as people provide arguments against that assumption, for example in the form of other characters we played sidekick to (and enjoyed it)... You immediately pull the "it's rude to assume things about mee" card. If you're not willing to argue in good faith, then don't start an argument. If you perceive everything is rude, then maybe don't start out by being rude yourself, as that tends to set the tone for the entire conversation.

You have to understand that people aren't happy with the character, in any language, so it's important to do something so the devs know that the character is unliked and must be removed from the story/game. The score is really bad for the game and with the recent Krile stuff, people are unhappy about being lied to, and people can't say anything anywhere without being called a phobe so at least this thread lets them rage in it. Wouldn't want the game to go and be like the Pokemon main series and many would agree.

People straight up can see through the dogwhistles, that's why they call them "Phobes". It's impossible to discuss this character without this looming as a shadow over us, but get this, the phobia started being manufactured from this forum. Just a few months ago with "Wuk Lamat feedback" when she came out in 6.5 part 2.

Strange that any criticisms are called a dog whistle these days.

When even Stormblood and 2.0 score well into the 80s, a 78 average is pretty bad. The average user score is even worse on both Metacritic and Steam, after removing the review bombs. It is quite obvious the DT is getting reviewed poorly comparatively to the other FFXIV products and that should be a warning sign.

I thought the story was fine, it had its flaws but the big this was the pacing. Wuk had little to no time to grow but went from sheltered daughter to ruler in what, 6 levels? It needed to be the whole xpac where we travel with her to get to know the people and all that. Have that all be a set up for when she is crowned leader and now we start to uncover some odd things going on behind the scenes or something like that. Could it have been better? Sure. Do we need to delete the character? No, that's a bit much.

You have to be ok with taking the back seat sometimes because otherwise nothing is going to pose a challenge. We've been to the edge of reality and defeated the closest things to gods we will ever know, so of course some lizard people with swords are not going to post a threat AT ALL unless they got that super tech.

Hell, Zoraal smack talking the Garleans is nonsense because all he has are hot air balloons and Garlemad would just blast that place to hell from the air.

We have to suspend some things with a new storyline just to get the real stuff going.

It took Ishikawa much less to make me care about Elidibus enough to be bawling my eyes out by the end of Seat of Sacrifice.
