SE's treatment of MCH is a joke

The "buff" to MCH just isn't enough. DNC and BRD will always outclass MCH as gear for the party improves and they have a higher buff feed. Whereas MCH damage being a "selfish" dps is left out in the cold.

By the time the rest of the party has decent gear or one melee has been funnelled MCH is absoutley outclassed.

The idea of a "selfish" ranged dps just doesn't work when the description of the ranged role literally says support.

You can't have a selfish job that also pays the ranged tax. It's ridiculous. MCH doesn't bring enough personal dps to outshine DNC and BRD buffs and can't be buffed because of "mobility."

Just give MCH a 2 minute raid buff or give physical ranged some love in general because all 3 have serious issues right now

EDIT: Also please SE FIX WILDFIRE! It's the only ability in the game that can't crit/dh and it makes MCH even more of a joke compared to DNC/BRD because their entire burst can crit and not grief crit buffs like chained and litany. WF needs to be an auto crit/dh.

It's so sad when bringing mch week 1 while racing is trolling in the last floor when there's even a little bit of gear because DNC and BRD just outclass with buffs. SE have no idea what to do with this job

Give MCH basically Searing Light but call it Overclocked and make it a double weave with barrel stabiliser

I just don't understand why they at least don't bring MCH up to DRG / NIN / MNK / PIC levels. These jobs pay the utility tax and MCH the mobility tax. Why should they not be equal dps wise?

Because SE designed phys ranged as support and forgot mch existed. The job has had 2 full reworks since it launched in HW and they just refuse to make a selfish ranged work and it is refusal at this point

The sad part is that even in it's Stormblood iteration it was a better selfish DPS than nowadays while also providing a Trick Attack equivalent. Sure it was agony to play but when it worked it was actually up there in DPS.

This is why I believe they should just bring back 3.0 MCH. The reason why the play style wasn't received well because they also applied to BRD for no reason, and when they rolled back BRD in SB, they also remove the unique style from MCH.

I rather like how heavy shot work in PvP, and if they bring it back to PvE, there can be a case to argue for the removal of the mobility tax.

Hopefully when they add the next ranged DPS in 8.0 they make it a selfish one and finally give love to the selfish ranged DPS role.
