Well, FF14 is SE's golden goose, they will be in a really bad spot if they manage to keep screwing it.

People werent already very happy with EW and specially with the horrible post patch MSQ, the player's patience is starting to run low. Gameplay wise many people is already tired of another version of the simplified ShB system specially Healers and to a lesser extent Tanks

Stormblood gave me Zenos whom is one of my favorite dirtbags. I hated Lyse too, but am grateful she mostly disappeared and when she popped up occasionally, I was okay with it. I hope Wuk Lamat goes the way of Hien and just never shows up again.

DT has several instances that felt similar to SB but done worse.

People are quick to compare Lyse and Wuk but what about Fordola and Bakool Ja Ja? Fordola felt like a proper rival to Lyse in a similar sense that Bakool Ja Ja was for Wuk but Fordola's actions weren't immediately forgiven, whereas Bakool Ja Ja just got off scot-free for his actions and is immediately redeemed whereas Fordola's redemption came later in a more realistic sense. Yes, Fordola's redemption happened slowly as the patch cycle came around but I can't see Bakool Ja Ja really getting punished now for his actions since he's already been doing good in defending Tural and it seems he'll be replacing Zarool Ja as the Captain of the Landsguard. It's a much less satisfying redemption and it felt too quick in brushing all his terrible deeds under the rug. Maybe that will change and be a source of conflict down the line but it still feels bad.

I'm with you 100% on this. DT was easily the worst MSQ in the entire 2.0+ storyline. Definitely worse than SB and ARR.

I prefer Wuk Lamat over Lyse, but outside Erenville all the other characters were meh, atleast Stormblood had some villians that you love to hate.

Also the events in Stormblood felt more epic then Dawntrail. I do prefer Dawntrail dungeons and boss encounters.

Lyse/Zenos vs Wuk Lamat....no contest. Zenos wins by miles, I'll take Lyse over WL any day. She was an airhead, but not as annoying as WL.
