I could, but that's not fun.

What can I say? Certain things just take up residence, especially certain voice lines. Some for good, nostalgic reasons, "What's up, Doc?" or "You there! Check out that noise!"
Others... Much less so. "I CoUlD eat this OCTorock." Or... "SVEN! Lessen to meh."
Oh, you know only the French VA says Sven. In English we say Sfeen, a very dumb name to have given to a major character imo (I stand by my opinion that Beryl would have been better in every way).
Okay I will bite again.Your troling's off the charts if you can't even separate someone's opinion and the topic at hand.
What the voice actress thinks about voice acting doesn't matter; it's no consequence, they're not the one making decisions. To call out her gender as a reason to dislike her voice acting does indeed says a lot about you as the critic. Much less does it contribute anything of value to the topic.
I can seperate the opinion of someone and certain topics. The problem lies when someone is virtue signaling and acting like ''This is the right thing to do'' and than doesnt do it themselves.
Noone forced the VA to take the job as the MC of the game. It was obv that the VA doesnt have the skill to perform such a role.
I know your world view is kinda twisted, but let me tell you this:
People calling out the VA for being Trans is due the fact that it obv creates problems in their performance. This might suprise you but biological men and women go through puberty differently.
The fundamental part of a VA is affected by this, the vocal cords. So if someone is born as a male there are obv difficulties if you want to voice a woman. Considering the VA also had to fake an accent didnt helped here.
So a huge part of the whole problem why THE MC sounds so horrible and flat is because of the VA allready having to focus on the voice and the accent... and you can try to frame me as what you want and how you want,
that wont change anything about the bad Voiceacting.
We are at the point where its ridicules that people try to defend: ''SPHENE LISTUN TU MI.'' just because the VA is a T.
Maybe instead of throwing around labels and stuff you should actually try to bring an actual argument outside : You are wrong because I said so and the VA is such a talented VA because they are a T and everyone who critize them is a phobe.
People are too hung up on the VA and not the rest of the production. There's a director involved, too, and presumably an English producer. Moreover, Bryer is the first VA since ARR to be located in the US. I can't help but wonder how much was done remotely, what kind of feedback and instruction she got, how many retakes - if any - she had to do, etc. And it's not like the script was amazing, either....
There's more to acting - even voice acting - than an actor reciting lines.
Yeah people put so much focus on the VA and not the rest of the team involved. Like, okay. You think the VA sucked. There are many links in the chain that ultimately end up with Yoship saying "okay its great". Take it up with him. The VA performance was a symptom of greater issues in the dev team.People are too hung up on the VA and not the rest of the production. I have to applaud SE for removing hate speech posts and banning blatant transphobic posters, thank you for that. I think it makes this forum a bit better.
Also, more on topic. I agree that the focus is entirely too much on Wuk Lumat's VA. The writing first, and the voice acting directing as both to blame more than any single voice actor. Wuk's actress was simply given the unfortunate task of being THAT character. The Lyse if you will of DT, except even worse in a sense, because she's so much more present than Lyse was.

I love the voice for Lamaty'i!!!! So much character and really brings wuk lamat to life![]()
This is dumb. No VA is going to turn down a featured role in a game played by millions.
It's not obvious at all. Her performance is fine for the vast majority of the game. I think the issues stem from a mediocre-at-best script and problems with the direction (meaning the director).
You can argue she sound "ok" most of the time, hey I said so myself a while back.
But the worst performance showed up in one the most important scence of the game, the grand finalle of the story. Even if you take a jack hammer and smash your thump, it probably would stick out less. It goes beyond bad, it's iconic bad that will stay as a meme for a few years. Like, I've listed to plenty to bad dub ever since I exposed myself to the Eastern entertainment like anime and JRPG since twenty years ago. Like the English dub for the anime Sekai no Senki: Crest of the stars or the dub for the game Shenmue II. I won't say this is worse, but it's right up there with those examples.
And that's just the worst one. Basically all her battle/combat scene is cringe inducing.
Again, does she sound like that the majority of the time? No. But there are more than enough of those instance that if for you to claim "it's not obvious at all" means you're not being honest and you know it.
And as a customer why should I care whose fault that is, all of this "it's the VA" vs "it's the director's fault" are just useless and irrelevant deflection. Why not both? Tell me if you bought something and it break, when you bring it back for warranty will you care for a blame assignment of at which phase and who screw up? I know I won't, my interest will simply be "hey, you gave me a faulty product, I don't care how, but fix it".
