Need 1600 slot glamour dresser...

You're never going to get consensus on that. While I wouldn't object to more plates, what I most need is the ability to store everything in one place instead of squirrelling it away in different retainer inventories.

Consensus may never me reached, but I am thinking about this logically. Don't get me wrong, more space for items is always great, but glamour dresser space can always be added later after functionality for all available jobs or at least combat jobs can be secured. Like what is the point of 1200 or 1600 glamour space if I don't even have enough plates to logically assign each job a plate and and use a fraction of that space?

I don't think I need to even say anything at this point. Glamour chest needs an expansion at every expansion or it's just going to fill up and people are going to have to play inventory management between their retainers and the glamour dresser for multiple play hours. Especially if they've been playing for any considerable amount of time and have a backlog of junk in the trunk.

They really need an alternative to the Glamour Dresser. Alright, increasing the capacity every expansion could do something... but I doubt that's a sustainable solution in a technical sense.

I think they should've honestly addressed this when they expanded the dresser and continued to add plates for every new job. To me, I don't utilize every single plate and rarely use them anyway because they break when outside sanctuaries (unless they changed that?) which makes that system useless for me. My glamour is going to break regardless, so I just avoid job specific glam and go fix something up at the dresser. So to me, more dresser space is way more welcome than plates.

Also for the love of god...fix the glamour plate application spam in chat...

Plates have never been advertised as intended to be on a 1:1 distribution with jobs. I'm never playing all of the jobs at once and my less favourite jobs don't need full-time dedicated plates. I can switch them around or apply one of my "generic adventurer" plates if they need something coordinated-looking right now.

Storage space, on the other hand, is more ideally permanent and additionally will save me money because I can cancel a retainer or two. And it will get me closer to what I want, which is to have all my glamours in one place whether for easy building of new outfits or reassembling previous plates.

That's logical for me.

There's a reason I have been hording raid tokens, items to make the trial weapons, and keeping a 2 retainers full of gear for ally raid and cool dungeon gear. It's pure copeium at this point for a transmog system. As much as I'd want this system, I don't think it will change.

Reason being is that they make money on additional retainers. They might never want this to happen. That being said I would still have all 10 retainers regardless if the system is implemented. But I'm sure some just use them purely for the additional inventory and SE is afraid they will lose a chunk of sub money.

Second is the plentiful copy paste gear sets. What version would be used to unlock it permanently in a transmog system like wow? The newest version? Or the first version. I think it should the first dyeable version.

Lastly I bet they can get away with reusing gear like this because there is not a transmog system right now. If the system did exist there would be more gear that needed to be unique.

I will still hold onto my horde of tokens in hopes they will make a change. I say 3000 slots and that should be more than enough for most people. Or scrap the while damn old system and place a new shiny collections tab for gear sets.

The glamour dresser could work If they were to somehow, if possible make it like WoW's Transmog system, where if you put things in the glamour dresser, they get added to a 'catalogue' and you can just access all the gear and such that's been put in there to be used for later on and no longer takes up space. In other words, the Glamour dresser would be the catalogue and would have all the data for all gear part of it already, so there'd no longer be a limit to how much gear you could put it in it.

Because, if i remember the statement about it, it would put too much stress on the server.
They tried, they runned into unexpected server issues, they ditched.

This nice little qol would be welcomed, but much later down the road. First they need to use their resources and manpower to fix the dumpster fire they created, long before they consider anything like this.

One plate for every job: battle, crafting, gathering and limited, minimum. Then turn the armoire & dresser tabs into a single glamour catalog. Might as well untangle the whole ball of spaghetti at once! Anything else is just a band-aid that will just need to be redone over and over. They need to devote a significant amount of resources to this, take their time and do it right. I’m sure they’ve already planned their schedules for the rest of the patches, but as they start looking towards 8.0, this should be at the top of the list. It would definitely be a big selling point for the next expansion.
