Like SCH is a field medic and SGE is a futuristic doctor, why are they wearing long white robes with red accents. That’s basically just WHM’s AF aesthetic, SCH favours yellow and green while SGE favours blue, yet everything we get is white and red, we aren’t all WHM

casters are the same RDM would actively want to avoid robes and SMN/PCT don’t have a single gear piece that’s not their own AF gear that feels like it was designed for them (except maybe high allagan for SMN)
Funnily enough that also makes the "BLM in plate gear" argument for glamour restrictions fall apart, if a BLM in plate gear is immersion breaking then what about a RDM in long robes or a Viper that looks like a Ninja?

Job identity and aesthetics are so muddled nowadays that they should stop trying to stick to what they think should be the job's aesthetic and focus on making gear that just plain looks good. Give healers something sleek and form-fitting that fits a doctor aesthetic, or maybe something that looks sophisticated and scholarly that *isn't* anther long-robe with too much excess cloth.

Hell, might as well run with the doctor idea and give healers some sort of lab coat/researcher looking set. The insistence on trying to make sure healers only look a certain way is seriously stifling what could be great glam items that people would absolutely love to wear.
