I don't understand why he has the accent he does, we met the people who raised him and we visited his home town, no one speaks that way.

I also find this weird. I liked the choice of making the Viera sound Icelandic. Except it feels like they have completely forgotten that in Dawntrail? The only voiced Viera with Erenville's accent that I can think of off the top of my head is Lyna. This raises a lot of questions. Why the heck does he speak like the Viera of the First?

Dare I go into the territory of wondering if he's actually like Krile and not actually from the Source? (Although that still wouldn't explain the accent, since that's based on your environment...)
