Adding tails to the aesthetician is a good idea. Changing what is visually just your tail’s hairstyle (at least on miqo’te) is a lot more believable than changing the shape of your brow bone or adding/removing scars instantly, but they still let us do those things. Changing au ra tails is a little more questionable on the immersion front, but they can add and remove scale patches from their faces, so maybe they’re just versatile like that.
