    This expansion is much harder at least the solo duties. I have seen one's on the Japanese forum asking for skip option for the solo fight duties after failing multiple times. Maybe when new content like dungeons and primal fights come out, they can add an option to play it very easy to very hard.

    That has to be bait tbh. Solo duties literally has a "Very easy" difficulty that makes it pretty much impossible to fail.

    Not that I failed a single one of them despite playing a healer through MSQ that notably doesn't have a lot of damage output

    I think that the current experts/extremes difficulty is fine, if something, they maybe need to make them slightly harder

    But you never ever should get a savage/ultimate difficulty in encounters with randoms

    You didn't get what I said. I said add the same option to every Dungeon and Primal duty. It would be like this before you queue you pick what hardness setting you want to queue for. From Very hard to Very easy and bonuses would reflect on it. Thats what I said they should add. Some solo duties you don't get play as your job but as a npc.

    Still. Dungeons went from Very Easy to Easy. And there's no real change in trial difficulty compared to previously. And the trials are also only slightly harder than before. Look at the boss and look at the floor. There are lines on the floor.. They'll usually tell you where it is and isn't safe to stand.

    Look at the boss. Is it raising its hand? Then that side of the arena is gonna get cleaved. Is it raising both hands? It's gonna cleave one side then the other, in the order of how the hands are raised.

    Does the boss have more than two hands, and are at least two hands raised? Like two left hands and a right hand? It's gonna cleave left twice and right once. Once again, in the order they were raised.

    Sometimes those hands are wings or some other part. The body part that identifies it will generally be glowing or be drawing in energy or things like that.

    I don't think it's unfair to assume that the playerbase has a baseline skill floor after 5 expansions worth of content that follow the same kind of telegraphs. Especially when we've been doing body-language telegraphs since at least Shadowbringers.

    Not sure why people are complaining of difficulty either - this is the first expansion that I cleared the extremes in my first day of PF. The mechanics are more fair - and by fair I mean that the fights are not "forced" difficult and bombarded with body count mechanics that wipe the raid at a miniscule error.

    The normal raids are also challenging but I don't see them anything more special than the previous ones? The 3rd and 4th one are literally just cleaves? By the ilevel bump coming soon, those raids will be a joke. The 1st and 2nd one had some gimmicks that are challenging in the beginning but once you figure it out, it's not that complicated - just like the raids before it.

    this xpac def had the hardest norm dungeon mechanics out of any xp

    Good lord, how is the region with the most savage clears so dog-bad they can't clear casual solo content? And the devs cater to these kinds of players when designing jobs and content.

    Is that how they get their savage clear numbers? Relying on mods that tell them how to react while the rest of the world uses macros and Hector videos or something to actually learn the fights? And then jobs get simplified after a week because they feel "too busy" according to feedback that did not originate from any English speaking forums or platforms. Skill ceiling detected, gotta make the job brain dead just in time for savage to avoid JP meltdowns.
