Leveling healing is too boring. Does it get better?

I haven't geared up healer to go do EXs, but for every other Level 100 content currently out the only one I actually enjoyed healing in was Arcadion M4...

Yeah M4 was fun.

The other three, the DoTs from some mechs weren't bad, but it still devolved into either 'scrape bodies of the floor' or 'glare spam.'

That said, really wish that juicy line stack wasn't at the very end of M4 only. already dreading the day people get Gear/the casual story players stop doing normales and then it will be skipped forever.

You get Afflatus Misery at level 74 but from what I hear from the community its a dps loss to actually use it and its on a long timer, (Blood Lilly has to be in full bloom) how ever long that takes.

It doesn't get better because of scaling making healing meaningless after 50 until like 80 but only for none warriors and then later only tank that needs healing is DRK.
It's weird because 16-50 dungeons require tanks to be heal then at some point in HW both PLD and WAR just get super strong self sustain.
This is part of the reason why people want healers to have more engaging DPS, running anything old and anything in a solo scenario is painfully boring.

You get it to bloom by healing with the lilies 3 times.. And the heals are GCD, so they're not optimal for healing, and it's basically the same DPS you would get if you just spammed Glare instead unless you manage to score like a lucky critical direct hit.

Afflatus Misery is a DPS gain if used within buff window as it allows you to "prepare" 4 glares for the buff window specifically. And even outside of it, it's completely DPS neutral. Lilies are a great healing utility when there is need for movement as they allow you to keep uptime and heal at the same time.

If all you're doing is healing, lilies give significant party-wide healing and allow you to weave 2 oGCD's since they're insta-cast and use no mana. And if the goal is damage they're also the most optimal healing choice as it allows you to spend a GCD on healing at a zero damage loss. In most high-end content, Afflatus Rapture is the biggest contributor in % towards healing for White Mage.

I have tried leveling healers, the problem is the lack of healing. I am so bored I fell asleep mid fight, noone died except me. The lack of engagement in the role is terrible. I have mained healing in every game I have played except FF14. When I started I started as a healer. I dropped healing and didn't look back until recently because I missed healing, yet I am running into the same issue, the severe lack of healing to be had.

Last time I said the same thing to some people, I got told that "perhaps healing isn't for me".

I don't know what to think of it.

Assize is probably the best AoE heal, but sadly being a damage dealer as well it's not always going to be saved for healing... And if you have to use a GCD, I find that Medica 2(or 3 now) is often better than Rapture.

No, SQE has just train them like puppies to not expect anything from healing and like lap dogs they yap with approval.
